Taken on Michaelmas Cay, Great Barrier Reef. November 2007. Canon IXUS 900TI
As suggested by Rowan at the original version, I decided to treat you all to a monochromatic version of this image! Enjoy!
Another little experiment with Photoshop!
With this image I have used the idea of winter weather (e.g. frost – the ice on the berries in this case), making views that are usually associated with summer (the summer berries here), look completely different, but beautiful all the same. Canon Digital IXUS 900 TI – Macro Mode

Loughgall Country Park, Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland.
Taken Palm Beach, Sydney, Australia. October 2007 Palm Beach is most commonly known to us “Poms” as Summer Bay. / Yep, that’s right it’s the outdoor setting for soap “Home and Away”. / Take the L90 bus from Sydney to get there. ;) An hour and a half away but the views en route are beautiful, and that’s before you even arrive…..
Camera: Canon EOS 350D / F-stop: f/5 / Exposure Time: 1/60sec / ISO Speed: ISO 400 / Focal Length: 41mm / White Balance: Auto Used Photoshop to desaturate the image for effect.
Although the title would suit a portrait better I thought it fitting for a profile image! Quite happy with how this turned out! Unaltered.
This is actually how it came off the camera. Was playing with camera settings to familiarise myself a little better with effects created when using Manual Mode. Canon EOS 350D just to clear up any macro-related confusion….. this is actually those teensy flowers that are used to “fluff out” bouquets, so the actual size of one bud is only a few mm

Harbour Bridge Climbers on the way down…. Sydney, Australia, October 2007 / Canon IXUS 900TI Bridgeclimb Passionate as I am about all things Australia at the moment…. I thought I would share one of my favourite experiences…... / I managed to complete the climb myself, (despite a completely irrational fear of heights!), and would highly recommend the experience to EVERYONE! / Some will say “but the pylon lookout is much cheaper”.... yes, but the sense of achievement and 360 degree views of the beautiful city are well worth the extra dollars!!!
My dad owns this, (it was his grandfather’s), so I decided to use it as a new subject matter – a new challenge! Dating from the 50’s the car has never been “restored” – it just never needed to be! Canon EOS 450D: 1/160sec: f/7.1: 55mm © Debbie Black 2008
