Mr.Roland died two days after I took that picture,he was a realy good friend and I use to tease him a lot.He was blind but always recognised me because he knew my voice«Ah!....« Gigi de St-Hippolyte»he used to say , holding my hand.He never asked for much only to organised his meal in a way he could easily eat by himself and to give him his chaplet for the ceremony on sundays.A great person , very generous and smiling all the time.The worst part for him was not being able to go to the bathroom ,I think that idea killed him ,he was so proud.He died very peacefully with her daughter and son ,hand in hand .The hand you see in the picture is his son’s .Let’s say that if I wasn’t passionnate about my job I couldn’t do it . / /

This photo was taken at the funeral of the first police officer killed while on duty in my city, Windsor, Ontario, in over 125 years. It was also the largest funeral in at least fifty years, if not longer. The officer’s children’s classes came, and as high school students we were paired up with them to watch them for the day. This was my student… I think he was ten at the time…

This is the 3rd shot from today’s series of photos from the local grave yard.. I had heard recently that grave yards make a great subject for IR photography, and I personally think I have to agree as I believe that this is my best IR shot so far.. / The cross that you can see behind the headstone in the middle of the shot is the cross that I used as the subject for my So Dark The Con Of Man shot.. / Anyway let me know what you all think and i hope you like it all as much as i do.. series. This image was shot using a / mamiya 220 camera (6X6 medium format) and iLford black and white roll film. / The original is hand printed by moi on Ilford Multigrade IV Fiber Based Paper.

Night time shot, taken in the backwaters of the River Murray, near Lyrup in the Riverland area of South Australia. Beautiful still night with mirror image reflections of the majestic dead river gums. BEST Viewed large. Canon 400D 18-55 lens. Processed in Photoshop CS3.

Late afternoon, Lyrup flats between Renmark and Berri in the Riverland of South Australia. Afternoon shots whilst waiting for the sun to go down for a night time shoot. The clouds moved apart and left this diamond like section reflecting nicely on the still backwaters. Again a visit to one of my favourite places where these huge River gums stand defiant against nature, dead but not finished….... Canon 400D 18-55 lens, CIR Polarising filter. Three shot panoramic stitch in CS3 and converted to B&W in the same program.
