  • Because one day He will also left us. You know why? / Because, we the human beings became inhuman… / We lost our values, our soul, we forgot our heart(s)... / We are now violent, intolerant… Ignoring those who need us. We lost humanity. We lost ourselves. / The angel is dying, slowly but surely. / We killed Him. / Our nature has changed… My gallery is Copyright © Wandering Soul. • Every now and then I like to “step outside” my boundary of usual subject matter and do something really different. This is one of those images. Captured outside the town of Central City, Colorado, I happened by this scene by luck, along with the other 2 cemeteries close by it. Long closed, these are the real deal “wild west’ cemeteries, long forgotten, long not seen. Looking like a scene out of the movie “Pale Rider”.....I had to photograph it. The ruts in the ground were still visible from where the old wagons used to carry the bodies up from the town. Quite an amazing place…. / Thoughts welcomed! —-John —-—-—-—-—-—-— / More of my work can be seen on my website at http://jdebordphoto.com / All artwork is © John De Bord, All Rights Reserved. • Lainers the Happy Lil Dead Girl by Paul Rees-Jones She floats around the light, / That shining orb so bright. She knows its ringing call, / But doesn’t want it at all. Skin so white, cheeks pink and red, / Content in being the living dead. Her friends are cold, just like her, / Living and playing, just like they were. And oh the joy of pranks and scares, / To those who trespass without cares. Moaning and groaning like a ghost, / Is something she like the most. Flying free, spinning in a whirl, / Lainers the happy lil dead girl.

Sweet Annabelle by Paul Rees-Jones A little girl, not exactly alive, / Wandering around in her own way. / A little girl, not exactly warm, / Looking for some ghoulish play. She calls to her friends… / “Let’s play Hide and Bleak!” / Her friends say no, / Cause she never seeks. She calls to her friends… / “Let’s play sticks and stones!” / her friends say no / Cause she loves breaking bones. She calls to her friends… / “Let’s play tie you up tag!” / Her friends say no, / One always leaves in a body bag. She sighs and wails, / As only she can. / And ponders her plight, / And ponders a plan. She knows she can be / A bit of a sweet pain / But her friends should love her / All the same. So if they don’t / Come out to play. / She go get them / And they’ll rule the day. Sweet Annabelle…

The Reaper by Paul Rees-Jones This is about the Reaper family, / A serious bunch, never too silly. Well, in truth, it’s about one, / One who reaps with a bit of fun. The youngest in the Reaper clan, / Quite a smart, little dead man. He brought a group of playful kids, / To the yard, oh yes he did. And why, you ask, would he save? / Just release them from their graves? When you are a Reaper Grim, / The days are long and awful dim. But to this small little reaper, / Loneliness ran a little deeper. So he made his friendly ghouls, / By breaking about 20 rules. But it’s worth it when the day is done, / Cause this lil Reaper finally has fun!

He was given a body with all of the parts, / And was given an oversized heart. From the moment he saw her , she was his deliverence, / That dead Lil Zombie, the cute and lovely Temperance. He swooned and swayed, thought he’d pop a stitch, / Whenever around her, his voice lost it’s pitch. He planned and tried so often to say, / The words in his heart every day. Now if he knew how Temperance felt for him, / He wouldn’t have worry, nor feel so grim. Cause when she looked at him with her good eye, / Inside her cold heart was a loving sweet sigh. So there they are these sweet Lil dears, / All thats stopping their love is their silly fears.

  • Grim Reaper – noun / the personification of death. [Origin: 1925–30] Old Slavic tribes viewed Death as a woman in white clothes, with a never-fading green sprout in her hand. The touch of the sprout would put a human to an everlasting sleep. This image survived Christianization well into the Middle Ages, only being replaced by the more traditional European image of a walking skeleton as late as in the 15th century. Death as a sentient entity is a concept that has existed in many societies since the beginning of recorded history. In Western cultures, death is usually given the name, the “Grim Reaper”, and shown as a skeletal figure carrying a large scythe, and wearing a midnight black gown, robe or cloak with a hood, or sometimes, a white burial shroud. Usually when portrayed in the black-hooded gown, only his eyes can be seen.

Thank you Molly the Lil Witch, A Heidi for Oscar by Paul Rees-Jones Well You have heard the tale of Molly the witch, / And the doll folk she made in a pinch. The story doesn’t end quite there, / Cause Oscar needed someone fair. Molly’s heart went out to her lovesick little man, / She asked Oscar to put some stuffing in her hand. She used it to make a wonderful girl, / With a cute smile and hair without curls. She called her Heidi and Oscar just stared, / Molly could see how much he cared. Ophelia, was not too impressed / To her this girl was a complete mess. Already she saw her brother’s love show, / Unfortunately for Heidi, she had to go. Ophelia worked out 22 tries, / knowing one would spell that Heidi’s demise. and so we shall wait and see what transpires, / As Ophelia prepares balloons, pits, spikes, and fires.

  • 1 Thessalonians 4:16 / For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: / Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. / / / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / Canon 400d / /
