I visited my home planet recently and captured this photo of the mountain that I would climb to the top of, in my younger days, and watch in awe as the sun would melt into the waters of the ocean before me, or so it seemed, while behind me the plains seemed to spread out forever, dressed in their jungle foliage. Combination of Bryce 5.5 and photoshop elements.

The mountains on this moon are replete with high grade uranium, unlike the sparse deposits on Earth, and were the primary source for the planet in the background. At first for energy and the good of alienkind, warring factions began using it for weapons of mass destruction, eventually destroying the planet through nuclear proliferation. Wikipedia: Uranium mining is the process of extraction of uranium ore from the ground. As uranium ore is mostly present at relatively low concentrations, most uranium mining is very volume-intensive, and thus tends to be undertaken as open-pit mining. It is also undertaken in only a small number of countries of the world, as the resource is relatively rarely found. The worldwide production of uranium in 2003 amounted to 41,429 tonnes, of which 25% was mined in Canada. Other important uranium mining countries are Australia, Russia, Niger, Namibia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, South Africa, and the USA. A prominent use of uranium from mining is as fuel for nuclear power plants. As of 2008, known uranium ore resources which can be mined at about current costs are estimated to be sufficient to produce fuel for about a century, based on current consumption rates. The mountains are Bryce, finished in photo shop elements 5.0 with Flaming Pear glitterato and lunarcell.

I climbed into my time machine and leaped back about 4000 years to catch a snapshot of these strange alien lifeforms traveling from a distant galaxy toward a solar system in the milkyway, and a small blue habitable planet, third from the sun. They are bringing their energy cells with them, as they can’t exist without them. The miracle herb “Sphereotid” is only grown on this remote planet. They tried to grow it on Earth, but the miracle healing attributes were lost. It has to grow in this atmosphere to work as a cure for cancer and all known ailments. You can contract as a sharecropper. The view is spectacular, but it’s a long way from Walmart! However the company provides you with the dome home, and help to get your field started. When the crops are ready the company sends a craft to bring you supplies and harvest the crop. Then you start over, planting and tending your crops. / My entry into Alien Worlds/Landscapes

Opposing federations are arriving at the neutral space port on a moon of Masarias in the center of the Rosarian Galaxy. They will be attending a meeting in the Pyramid Dome to hopefully come to a peaceful negotiation of which federation will control what parts of the galaxy. Gonna be a long night!

In this alien sport two teams of three attempt to move a red sphere through the elevated goal, corresponding to their color, using psyco-kinetic energy. It’s a very popular sport, but the official games are played in a remote area, with no live spectators, due to the fact that the spectators could influence the game. Psyco-kinetic energy is very common here. Fans watch the video transported games in huge auditoriums and in local sports establishments. The greens and blues are not allowed to share their viewing, however, as many have been thought out of existance due to the animosity of the two races.
