Went for a six mile hike the other week, up and around a local beauty spot known as Stiperstones. This is one of many rocky outcrops and it’s called the devils chair …. A compilation of 7 images, mainly from the stunning area around Beddgelert in the Snowdonia National park, Wales, UK. / I thought that I’d try and tug at a few emotions with this one …..... when out walking you always hear the lambs calling thier mums when they manage to wander off and get seperated …..... Software ~ Adobe Photoshop CS3 Tutorial for the DigitalArt Compilations group I opened the seven images that I intended using. / I chose my background image. / Using the lasso tool, I selected an area off another image and then dragged it onto the background layer using the move tool. / Once it was in position I then added a layer mask to it, after selecting a soft brush and picking black I brushed out any unwanted areas of the dragged image. / I repeated the process with the remaining images. / Everytime you drag an image on, photoshop creates a new layer and to ensure each image tied in, I adjusted the levels for every one. / Once I had all of the components in place, I merged all visible layers. / I then duplicated the layer. / Now it was time for the dodging, burning, curves, unsharp mask and render filter. / Finally merge visible layers and save . / Copyright 2008 Richie Dean VISIT MY WEBSITE .

This is another magical area of North Wales ….. Coed y Brenin ….. I have used Painter X to render the image, it has the fullest range of ’ natural ’ brushes and if used with a graphics tablet the transition from orthodox to digital painting is painless, with the added bonus, you can ’ fiddle ’ with the end painting with the knowledge that if you go too far, you can remove it. / As a former traditional artist, I thoroughly recommend ’ Corel Painter ‘ / Final ’ tweaks ’ were made in Photoshop …... This is a traditional 18th Century farmhouse situated in Mid Wales UK. / The three doorways on the right, were access for the livestock, they occupied that half of the building, the farmer and his family lived in the other half ….... / The property is situated a mile from the main road, along a beautiful valley, where salmon fight against the river to spawn further up …...... This was opened in PhotoArtMaster and altered in 5 layers. / That image was imported into Photoshop. / After several adjustment layers, I was happy ….....
