A morbid history of St. John’s… the hill in the background is known as Gibbets Hil, it is where all the criminals were hung in public executions. I was not happy with the food chain image, so I played with it a little more – the troll fits a little better I think :) and I have added a few other bits for compositional balance. I still have the same Hunter / Hunted theme. New story :) The Dead Sea Troll / In his little rubber bubble / Was huntin for fish / Not lookin for trouble Lunch had arrived / He smiled and gripped his spear / Eyes only for the Thinfin / A little closer…dear. Never get too excited / Don’t let your lunch blind you / Forgotten lessons in the chase / Like, “What the hell’s that, behind you!”

This old tree was perched right on the edge of the cliff face at “The Devils Kitchen” in Noosa National Park, Queensland, Australia. Taken on the same day as Dramatic Nature looking further North about 30 minutes from sunset. Canon 50D, 10mm, slight cropping.. Available Large, and best viewed Large!
