  • Les Invalides in Paris, France consists of a complex of buildings in the 7th arrondissement containing museums and monuments, all relating to France’s military history, as well as a hospital and a retirement home for war veterans, the building’s original purpose. It is also the burial site for some of France’s war heroes. The most notable tomb at Les Invalides is that of Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821) in the crypt under Mansart’s dome. Napoleon was initially interred on Saint Helena, but King Louis-Philippe arranged for his remains to be brought to St Jerome’s Chapel in Paris in 1840. A renovation of Les Invalides took many years, but in 1861 Napoleon was moved to the most prominent location under the dome at Les Invalides.

  • A view of the Opera at the Place de la Mairie from the Hôtel de Ville. ⌘ Rennes a city in the northwestern France is the capital of Bretagne region and the préfecture of the Ille-et-Vilaine département. Rennes lies in the east of Brittany, forming an irregularly shaped basin constituted in the Tertiary period. Rennes is situated on River Vilaine. ⌘The Opera. Inaugurated in 1831, the neo-classic building of style facing the Town hall. It shelters today the Opera of the Town of Rennes. ∎ The city is about 45 minutes and 120 minutes away from air and TGV (rail) respectively. ∎ I was told that it’s the 5th most expensive city in France. ✔For Potential Buyers : The kind of vignetting used in this image makes it look like a city of dreams. Adding to this flavor is the surreal sky. If you have people waiting outside your office on a regular basis, I think this image will attract their attention and help them pass their time!

  • Château in the Parc de Sceaux ❏ About the Location : Sceaux is a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 9.7 km (6 miles) from the center of Paris. Sceaux is famous for the Château of Sceaux, set in its large park (Parc départemental de Sceaux), designed by André Le Nôtre, measuring 2 km². The original château, demolished during the Revolution, was built by Jean-Baptiste Colbert, the minister of finance to Louis XIV and purchased by Louis’ illegitimate son, the duke of Maine in 1699. His duchesse held court in a glittering salon at Sceaux in the first decades of the eighteenth century. ❏ The present château, rebuilt 1856-62 in a Louis XIII style, is now the museum of Ile de France open for visits. ❏ Sceaux is a very pretty city, especially downtown with its main pedestrian full of luxury shops such as bakeries, bookstores and chocolate sellers. This street is rue Houdan. ❏ Housing costs are extremely high, higher than in many districts of Paris, especially with streets facing the Parc de Sceaux, in the Quartier des musiciens and the west side of the Quartier des Blagis. ✔ For Potential Buyers : To me, this one is an all-purpose image. But if you have a room decorated with fairy tale artifacts, I think you would like to have a couple of paradise like images!
