As we patiently awaited for the highly anticipated Australia Day 2007 fireworks, we were greeted by a rather unpleasant overcast and patchy sky, many thanks to the soaring 40C heat. Great sweat workout though. MORE WORKS FROM MY PORTFOLIO /

Model – Meluxine This is about as ghetto as studio-esque lighting gets. / It’s called daylight. / I know, weird hey. And it’s so cheap it’s scary. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas ps. if you happen to own/know of this ‘pasta’, I would strongly advise against trying to eat it. The model’s only just getting her taste buds back.

Went on a little stroll around the city today to shoot a couple of laneways with Flamegirl for Laneway Magazine who requested some shots of this little spot. This is the same lane as shot in my Hosier Lane but up the other end facing the other way :D I’ve been using HDR sparingly lately but it helps to bring out so much character in these laneways that I simply can’t resist. This is also one of my first goes experimenting with the square format too! / Settings Canon 5D, 17-40mm f4 L USM. FL: 17 mm 1/160th of a second @ f4 (Multiple Exposures), ISO 800 No Filters Adobe Lightroom 2, HDR in Photomatix Pro & Stitched together in Adobe Photoshop CS4 Click here for my other images of laneways and graffiti Click here for my other images of Melbourne

This was nominated for the Prestigious Pay it Forward Award. / Suggested by “Phatpuppy” / http://redbubble.com/people/phatpuppy / She said: / “I’d like to nominate LunaStar’s piece “Strolling Through the Park”. it is most restful and gives me such a sense of quietness and peace whenever i look at it. I’d like to note that the artist is only 16 and shows a great sense of depth to her artistic ability through this piece. / I just love it. It takes me from today and puts me in a place of another time long, long ago.” Thank you very much! Featured in: / - Red Spot Award / - Hats and Hat Boxes / - Pay it Forward / - Dimensions
