After a very long, hot summer’s day the sky turned on quite a show, at Pt Impossible at Torquay.
Hiking down Havasu Creek.
We spent 3 magical days backpacking at Havasu Falls, one of the most beautiful place on our planet.

acrylic on canvas END OF DAYS Red sky in the morning, you’ve had your warning / the wolves are running, the end is coming See the white bird flying, he’s got a heart just like a lion / see the sun descending, on a world that fears an ending See the snake a creeping, as the children are a sleeping / there’s a tower in the middle, it’s built of death and lies and riddles Only love can set you free Sheep rushing to the fold, a remnant neither bought nor sold / a single shepherd on a rock, face all the nations for his flock see the light in motion, hits the earth just like an ocean / soon the sky unravels, stars fall down like so much gravel Look away from all your idols, this cursed earth is suicidal / lift your eyes up to the sky, see the heavens, see the heavens eye to eye only love can set you free

Waking up early isn’t my forté, but this magical sunrise pulled me out of bed and down to the river. The morning mists were rolling down and the water was dead calm, as if not wanting to disturb the day. The photo is cross-processed medium format velvia and retains some imperfections.

“Rainy Day On The Mulberry River” / Fall has arrived!!!!! As Is…...... / Canon PowerShot S3 IS Sometimes during the fall season, Arkansas is subjected to rain storms rolling in. It makes the light for photography a bit more difficult, but it doesn’t dampen my spirit because it sure adds mood. With the cool air meeting the / warn air, in comes the fog, adding a warmer touch to the otherwise bold colors of this fall scene along the Mulberry River. This shot was taken by turning off from Highway 23 South, also known as the “Scenic Pig Trail Bypass”, on to Arkansas State Highway 112. A beautiful highway for a fall scenic drive, as it twists and turns along the Mulberry River and its many tributaries. / / Featured photo in Stream Crossings 11-16-2008 / Featured Photo and Artist in Country Bumpkin 11-16-08
When your day seems out of balance / And so many things go wrong / When people fight around you / And the clock drags on so long… When most folks act like children / And fill you with remorse / Go out into your pasture / Wrap your arms around your horse. His gentle breath enfolds you / As he watches with those eyes / He may not have a PhD / But he is, oh, so wise! His head rests on your shoulder / You embrace him good and tight; / He puts your world in balance / And makes it seem all right. Your tears will soon stop flowing / Then tension will be eased. / The nonsense has been lifted / You are quiet and at peace. So when you need some balance / From the stresses in your day, / The best therapy you can seek / Is out there eating hay! WJ

Top Ten in Alphabet Soup group Challenge Feb 09 Nikon D60, 18-55mm. Focal length 24mm. F/11, 8secs Didn’t realize till 5 mths after this was taken that a technique I’d read about and tried on this occassion actually worked. I have just found the photo stats, which suggests to me it did work. Couldn’t find anything around that time as I’d had the computer reformatted Many thanks to Nigel Donald for sharing how to use a bit of cardboard and a long exposure Australia Day fireworks from the Northside of the River, just as it was getting underway. /
The Hampden Suspension Bridge is an historical landmark and is the only surviving suspension bridge in New South Wales that was built during the Australian colonial days. The Hampden Bridge is 77 metres long and was built in the year 1897, and named after Lord Hampden, who was the Governor of NSW from 1895 to 1899. The Hampden Bridge straddles the Kangaroo River with the Kangaroo Valley village nestled beside it. You give me rainbow butterflies / Your hand touches mine and I feel / The wisdom of oak trees line up / And we walk that lane which shines / Both of our spirits on parade Your wings are vibrating those / Colors that catch the light / My eyes are green to emeralds delight / As you listen for my lead / The one I took from our Spirits creed We make a pack of lovers bliss / That all things are possible with / One soulful kiss / That all who know us or come / Our way / Are blessed with knowing / All things are possible / Today. Linaji 2009 All things are possible if we start right now to believe that here in this moment is our POINT OF ATTRACTION / That no matter for how long or what has been going on that does not seem to work can change in an instant if we understand that everything that can ever possibly happen can only happen at this point in time. NOW That everything changes when we start to see that life is suppose to be FUN and we can allow the infinite possibilities to formulate the best path for our desires to manifest. I have never seen this more true than my own life. As everyday I soften my thinking to better feeling thoughts I experience new vista’s to guide me towards that which I am becoming and that which I desire. Today has been such an easy day full of butterfly vibrations and lovely sounds and visions and YOU! xox

The Rappahannock River is a river in eastern Virginia, in the United States, approximately 184 miles (294 kilometres) in length. It traverses the entire northern part of the state, from the Blue Ridge Mountains in the west, across the Piedmont, to Chesapeake Bay, south of the Potomac River. / An important river in American history, the Rappahannock was the site of early settlements in the Virginia Colony, and, later, it was at the center of a major theatre of battle in the American Civil War. Due to its significance as an obstacle to north-south movements, it, in effect, functioned as the war’s eastern-theatre boundary, between the “North” (the Union) and the “South” (the Confederate States of America). / The river drains an area of 2,848 square miles (7405 km²), approximately 6% of Virginia. Much of the watershed is rural and forested, but it has experienced increased development in recent decades because of the southward expansion of the Washington, D.C. suburbs. Taken In Virginia, at the Rappahannock River …with a Canon Digital Rebel XSI….and a Canon EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 II USM.
