This is another of my favourites. I can’t remember the exact date I painted it… it was roughly January or February of 2006. I used acrylic on cardboard (but HOW I used it is a secret!), approximately 63cm x 51cm. This is my Very Last Work for 2007 finished it on 31st Dec 2007 First attempt at making a Mountain Background on a Moon Orbiting a Planet… Is the woman is supposed to seem like a Mountain as in a Mirage or a Daydream…. This is 3 of 3 Versions that I made a few with Romantic Writing…
Wilsons Promontory – ‘The Prom’, 2008 Have managed this summer to get out there and surf a bit. Lately just me, my board and my camera down the coast, tenting it and basically taking time out for myself. After a few hours in the water you get this kind of fuzzy peaceful feeling inside, equal parts exhaustion and elation. I love that headspace of daydreaming, and find it a really inspirational state for visual ideas to come to the surface.

A gentle piece by Giclee Artist Skye Ryan-Evans. This scene of a lone Polar Bear silently gliding through Arctic waters while an Aurora Borelis shimmers behind him, is serene and unforgettable! Designed as a poignant anti-global warming , anti-oil drilling and anti-hunting statement. 25% of proceeds from sales of this item go to support Defenders of Wildlife, in their valiant efforts to lobby for the proper protection of these magnificent creatures of the ice.

Don’t you think that it is a bit… ... crowded?
Inspired by the song The Days Of Pearly Spencer which was based on the story of a homeless man in Ballymena who was befriended by David McWilliams. The song reflected the writer’s deep humanity and his empathy with those who live on the margins of society. / Source Many thanks to Gregoryno6 who reminded me of this song last year, it’s been whirling around in my head since then. Thanks also to my wonderful friend Paul who constantly inspires me. More inspiration Earth day 2009
