  • A window of an traditional country farm cottage in Ireland. Nice whitewashed wall on this shot..

  • A middle aged gent takes a brisk walk along the seafront on Dollymount Beach, Bull Island Dublin City. A beautiful part of Dublins Northside and amazingly a place to learn how to drive a car! Very windy and great for windsurfers of all types, both land and sea. Only available as a card at the moment til I get my hands on a neg scanner.

  • Pastel on sanded paper. County Kerry Ireland.

  • 6×8 oil on board / 2007 / This is at the edge of the water beyond the Spanish Arches, looking across, you see the “Long Walk” row of apartments. I did not change the colors, this is true to life on a nice summer day.

  • Waking up early isn’t my forté, but this magical sunrise pulled me out of bed and down to the river. The morning mists were rolling down and the water was dead calm, as if not wanting to disturb the day. The photo is cross-processed medium format velvia and retains some imperfections.

  • Taken on the way home coming back down from Bray Head, County Wicklow. I had a hunch it would look better in B&W as the bright sun’s glare washed out out a lot of the contrast & colour in the colour version to begin with. I think my hunch was correct…

  • Oil painting on canvas (20×26inches). Original sold. A wonderful old lady in Kilrush showed me an old calender with this photograph taken during the late 1800’s. It was hard to distinguish any features and everything was blurry but I could not resist trying to paint the scene. Of course, with a bit of artistic license as I had no idea what colours to use except for my visit to Scattery Island. All the buildings are now in ruins but I found some references through the library and I hope I did justice to the Island and the people on the photograph (as well as the donkey!) Painting this was a fascinating project and I found myself mesmerised by the little girl standing to the right hand side. While the adults pose, this little girl is caught at a strange moment. She is staring at the photographer (or artist) strangely – as if to say. “Intruder” The community is no longer there and I wonder what happened to the little girl. • Acrylics on canvas I was out for a walk in my neighbourhood recently on one of those unique sunny warm days here in West Clare in Ireland. The farm animals were mostly lying down in the fields which I passed. I came to a field in which there were only calves and I stopped for a look. They looked back at me. The picture remained with me so I got out my paints and brushes and this is the end result!

  • North Coast of Northern Ireland, looking towards Dunluce Castle. There are two cloud formations, one in the upper sky and another one lower down blowing in from right to left.

  • there were two cloud formations, one in the upper sky and one in the lower sky. the combination makes for a surreal aspect. Dunluce castle Northern Ireland Nikon D300, 10-20mm sigma lens

  • A fiery sunrise to be followed by a day of storms. Reflected in a cafe window… / Taken in Cobh, Co. Cork, Ireland, in January 2009.

  • Haven’t quite gotten around to doing a Jambuvriska, or World Tree of Life (of Indian art) design yet, but that’s ok. Because Shanti Tees loves Celtic art, did a Celtic style Tree of Life design just in time for St. Pat’s. Not quite up enough on the history of the Celts and of India to see if any connection or interaction the cultures had in the distant past, but there are quite a few similar symbols and motifs between the two.
