We have some friends who live in a farmhouse in Southdene, in the Scottish Borders. They have been renovating the house for the past 2 years and we have visited to help on several occassions. BEST VIEWED LARGER This view taken from my offices in North Sydney CBD shows the Sydney CBD lit by the first rays of day. From the left is the southern approach to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, around the base of the bridge is The Rocks Historic precinct, the wharves to the right the first is now a hotel , the second now converted to residences for the rich and famous. At the rear of the photo is Sydney Tower, a tourist attraction that offers restaurants and viewing decks with a 360degree views of Sydney and surrounds. Sydney Tower now also features an outside observation deck with a glass floor. Equipment used Nikon D300, Nikon 18-200mm lens processed using Photomatix HDR Software . No filters were used

My first attempt of a panoramic. Thought it fitting it be Poyner’s Creek.
Staying at Mollymook, on the south coast NSW for work last week and I couldn’t believe what a gorgeous area it is. For me this captures the very first light after the sun peeks over the horizon – the reflection on the rocks and the cool green water strike a wonderful contrast.

The Regis Dam on Sagrelonus Sindi is slowly flooding the beautiful Galtriss valley, / and who knows what plants and animals will become extinct with the rising waters. Its all to do with progress, build first, then wonder what was destroyed in the process. / When fully flooded only the top of Mount Raynz will be visible.
