For Cora!! SOLD – thanks Cora :-)
Stopped into the Harley Davidson Cafe while making my way down the strip in Vegas… the artist in me could not get past this gas tank on a classic Harley…
On Route 66 Recently sold as a large mounted print.
The chrome top of this Harley’s fuel tank reminded me of the breastplate of an ancient Roman centurion. I shot this last week on a bright, sunny afternoon on St KIlda Road. Because the Harley is black, it almost looks as if the chrome panel is floating in nothingness. Because I shot this from behind, I was able to capture the reflection of the clear blue springtime sky and the new greenery on a nearby plane tree. I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 70-300mm lens. F6.7, 1/350 sec, ISO 200, focal length 150mm. Featured in CONTRASTING PERCEPTIONS, November 2009. Featured in CAPTION FUN, November 2009. Featured in NUMBERS ONE TO A TRILLION, December 2009. 119-0849
Taking a smoke break after breakfast in Bridgeport, CA. There were 6 Harley Davidson riders and they made an impressive “roaring” exit..catching the attention of the townspeople. /
