The historic chair was carved out of a rock ledge for Governor Lachlan Macquarie’s wife, Elizabeth, as she was known to visit the area and sit enjoying the panoramic views of the harbour. The point offers a breathtaking view of the harbour with both the Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge providing the perfect backdrop for picture taking.

They will fly up to 50 kilometers, (31 miles), to find food and even develop a flight pattern that they follow everyday. During the winter seasons when the food is scarce they will eat fruits that are laid out for them by people. At the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary in Queensland, the visitors are asked to hold food out for the birds when they arrive in groups of hundreds at around 4pm. They will perch on people’s arms and heads to be fed. Rainbow Lorikeets make very good pets because they can be tamed so easily and have a fun natured temperament.

Taronga Zoo To Bradleys Head Walk Sydney Harbour National Park, has a choice of three walks. The longest takes you around the foreshore, through Bradleys Head to Chowder Bay (about four hours return). The path is mostly good though there are some fairly steep steps. Bradleys head offers spectacular harbour views. Once a cannon emplacement, it features a monument to the four navy ships that have borne the name HMAS Sydney. The park is home to many varieties of wildlife – it is a favourite nesting place of the ringtail possum.

Thanks for looking The Legend / _The Aboriginal dream-time legend has it that three sisters, ‘Meehni’, ‘Wimlah’ and Gunnedoo’ lived in the Jamison Valley as members of the Katoomba tribe. These beautiful young ladies had fallen in love with three brothers from the Nepean tribe, yet tribal law forbade them to marry. The brothers were not happy to accept this law and so decided to use force to capture the three sisters causing a major tribal battle. As the lives of the three sisters were seriously in danger, a witchdoctor from the Katoomba tribe took it upon himself to turn the three sisters into stone to protect them from any harm. While he had intended to reverse the spell when the battle was over, the witchdoctor himself was killed. As only he could reverse the spell to return the ladies to their former beauty, the sisters remain in their magnificent rock formation as a reminder of this battle for generations to come._
