I am most proud of this shot so far in my short time doing photography. This image incorporates my passionate nature with my love of the ocean. I used to lobster fish with my Dad and so the ocean holds a lot of dear, and not so dear LOL, memories for me. I almost froze my hands off doing this. It was snowing a little while before I took this shot so you can imagine close to the water, with a breeze, how cold it was. However, in the name of love and romance, anything goes! LOL

This was a case of right place at the right time. This picture doesn’t actually do the sunset justice. It had to be seen to be believed, and of course, I was with my cousin and not my Fiance!

The fall colours in Nova Scotia can be so beautiful. This picture was taken from a spot in West Pennant called Hospital Hill. Hospital Hill is a couple of miles back in the woods but well worth the hike! When you climb to the top of the hill the views are spectacular, ocean in one direction and hills in the other.

This picture was taken on March 8, 2008; a very rainy foggy day in Sambro, NS. This was fitting weather for a small fishing community remembering their five friends, neighbours and family members lost at sea 20 years ago. On March 8th, 1988 the fishing boat “Bonnie Lou II” was lost at sea and the five fisherman on board were never found. Had the men survived the storm the sight of this lighthouse, which stands at the entrance to Sambro, would have welcomed them home.

I have only experienced it once, but I have never forgotten the feeling of freedom I experienced while flying over a field on horseback. I hope to find that same experience again someday soon!

I didn’t see the 4 layers of waves when I snapped the picture but was quite enthralled with the image after I noticed it. This was taken at White Point Beach Lodge on the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

Just stating the truth! LOL If you would like this personalized or a colour change made then please let me know by bubble mail.

Nothing was done to this image, it is, as is

This is the chain attached to the anchor at Point Pleasant Park in Halifax. I thought this made an interesting image.

On a Sunday drive, near Avondale, Nova Scotia, we happened upon a man loading hay bales onto the trailer he was pulling with his tractor. It was a neat shot but I wanted something a bit different so I took this. Hope you like it!

This boat belongs to a good friend of mine who owns a country cottage in my hometown of West Pennant, Nova Scotia, Canada. The title of this piece is the name of his vessel. My friends mother is very important to him and allowed him to have his dream get away so he named his boat in her honour. When he was a child she used to call his wee wee, you guessed it, Gullingo! LOL

This is a side view of an anchor which is part of a memorial to sailors lost at sea. I found the side view much more striking and the gray day added to the overall feel of the picture. I am printing this one off myself and framing it against a black background, it is very haunting! May They All Rest In Peace!!!

This is probably the most photographed lighthouse in Nova Scotia. For this reason, I don’t usually like taking shots of it because most likely anyone that has visited NS has been there and done that…. However, we went on a Sunday drive and decided to go to Peggy’s Cove where this famous lighthouse lives. She is a beauty though right?

This is another image from the Peggy’s Cove collection. I’m hoping (probably in vain) that this perspective hasn’t been shot all that often as i don’t like repeating someone else’s work. I don’t recall seeing this small village portrayed this way but that could just be that I missed it. I really love how this shot turned out and I hope you do too!

There I stood under the lamp pole, waiting impatiently for this so and so to take flight. I thought “this is it, my chance at the perfect gull shot with the pretty blue sky behind him.” There was only one problem with this, he didn’t move. I kicked the pole and I shook the pole, nothing. I threw dried seaweed hoping to fool the gull into thinking it was food and flying after it, nothing. Finally, just when I lowered my camera to give my arms a rest, he flew… and forgot to say “cheese.”

This was taken near Blomidon in Nova Scotia, Canada.

I realize there are lots and lots of terrific Mother-In-Laws out there; however, this tee is for those that don’t have … terrific ones…. LOL

It was the end of a gorgeous day at White Point Beach Lodge on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. The sun was shining down on parts of the white wash and making it glow so pretty that I had to capture a bit of it.

One of the many wild rabbits running around White Point Beach Lodge in Nova Scotia, Canada. Isn’t it a cute lil bugger!

This little shed was captured in my hometown of West Pennant, Nova Scotia Canada. I have looked at this shed many many many times but never really noticed it until this day. Funny how that works isn’t it?

On Saturday, April 12, 2008 my band, Under Pressure will be playing at a benefit dance for a local man who has contracted a rare lung disease, and will likely not be able to return to work. Earlier in the day there will a Chinese auction and a silent auction. Both Darlene and myself have donated a print each of the organizer’s choosing. Here are the two images that they chose to put up for auction. / / /

I realize this picture isn’t clear but there is something I have always loved about it and it is actually my screen saver. Maybe it’s because I find it looks like a painting…..I’m not sure but I’m putting it on here just in case others feel the same way and would like to enjoy it.
