  • Although I love my digital slr and what it allows me to produce in the time i have (in other words it suits my lifestyle) I sometimes like to escape to my friend and mentor David’s darkroom. I love the peacefulness it brings and just watching my image float into being. I would like to thank David for his guidance and showing me how to achieve the dark tones that I craved for years for.

  • I have been having fun with film lately.

  • I hope the quality is ok – only just getting used to scanning film – last image was not big enough :)

  • A dedication; to the multitalented and super sexy vixen Jacqueline Gwynne AKA heroine. This portrait was shot using a pentax K1000 and lLford black and white film and printed in the dark room the conventional way using high contrast filters and techniques such as dodging and burning.

  • It was an old mirror, and silvered, and very tired. It was determined to cast no more reflections.

  • Now for something a little bit different. This was part of my course at university – studio photography. This was taken with a Hasselblad 501cm medium format camera – with a flashring – developed in darkroom and scanned from the original print (my negs are still with lecturer).

  • A combination of several images were used to make this surreal corridor scene.
