  • Green Angel a little imagination , of an artistic computer craphic design I came up with , from an old photo I had taken several years ago.

  • This intimate, bright yet dark, static yet flowing, autumn themed image was made in Baxter State Park, Maine, USA in October 2006. I like the contrast of the flowing water beneath the still branches, the pop of color from the remaining birch leaves, and the juxtaposition of the branch atop the stream in tone and color! /

  • A long exposure shot of a few guys camping along side the Yukon River just outside of Whitehorse in the Yukon Territory of Canada. Back lit from the full moon hiding just behind a tree, mid-lighting by the campfire and the tent is lit with a small LED camping headlamp. This actually on a self-timer and that is myself on the far right. 20 sec. exposure at f11 Whitehorse, YT, Canada October 2007

  • Worth going to larger for this – lots more stars and detail. / These trees were drowned along with a whole valley to create a man-made lake as part of a hydro scheme in the 1950s. They’ve resurfaced as a result of a drought we’ve been having for the last few years courtesy of global warming. / I shot this about midnight under a full moon at Lake Eucumbene – the night transformed this desolate landscape into a hauntingly beautiful one but you could still feel the naked pain of this wounded land – and for what – the same never-ending drought has just about shut down the hydro scheme that did this.

  • Don´t you feel that shivering feeling too? Is it the cold? Or do you hear some creeking steps behind those trees, do you also see some fleeting figures floating in the mist? I think we could indeed better go home … Taken on that wonderful 23rd December in the Ridderoordse Bossen near Bilthoven. Near Bilthoven, 23th December 2007, 3.44 pm / Nikon D 80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 44 mm / F 4,5, 1/60, ISO 200

  • In one of the wards a table stands at the end, set up almost as if someone was about to sit down to a meal before they left. This asylum was open from 1882 and closed finally in 1991, after a slow and gradual wind down. It was the third of three asylums in the area and was only ever built to be overflow for the other two, so its gradual close just meant the patients from here could be transferred back to the other two now that there were fewer numbers due to care in the community etc.
