I caught this capture of wave carved sand along the shore of Padre Island, TX. The sand is “lit up” by a bright glowing golden sunrise. Color is 100% natural. EDITING: Cropped & my name added. Also available in B&W

Sunrise over Fes, Morocco. Adhan (Athaan) is the Islamic call to prayer, recited by the muezzin. The root of the word is ʼḏn “to permit”, and another derivative of this word is uḏun, meaning “ear.” This is the minaret of Kairouyine mosque in Fes. The university which is attached, was founded in 859AD and ‘is considered the oldest continuously operating institution of higher learning in the world by the Guinness Book of World Records.’ (Care of Wikipedia)

A rough day on the beach in Byron Bay does not deter the keen surfers from getting a peice of the action. Notice the rays of sunlight coming through the clouds down towards the people entering the surf.

River and I drove for a couple of hours before dawn and got to a spot up on a little hill in the woods, kind of feeling “freezing to death”, so we thought we’d wake up the sun and this is when…. Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada
