  • Lysterfield Rd, Lysterfield (This is my backyard).

  • A break in the clouds behind me created this dramatic scene.

  • Title stolen from a Switchfoot song, but not an original idea… Enjoy!

  • This was an absolutely amazing sunrise in South West Queensland over the oilfields where i work, and although the photo has quite saturated rich colours, it still does not do the real scene justice. It was shear pleasure to witness.

  • Ray of Light across lake Tatton Park Cheshire England Title taken from ‘Ray of Light’ by Madonna.

  • Taken at Dunraven Beach, Southerndown near Cardiff, Wales.

  • On the way to Nigata for a pre-wedding trip and we stopped at a service station. The clouds were really interesting and I was just messing around with my camera and “Volia!” This shot was very underexposed intentionally to make the clouds really dramatic. No photo shop or editing has been done. Straight out of the camera. Also added the edited version in sepia. Please tell me which one you prefer sepia or blue.

  • Okay this piece was inspired by UmbraDeNoatpe-stock at http://umbradenoapte-stock.deviantart.com/art/Stock-23-83970696 . Its a brilliant puddle that jumped out at me as soon as I saw it. I closed my eyes and took this mental picture you see now… I just had to get it into photoshop and turn it into a dream. The title says it all. It took me around 4 days to finish it but I think the florals, colours, light and dark, and finally magic really give that digital fantasy feel all within a puddle. • The sun, peeking through layers of clouds on its way down, drew my attention a little more this particular evening than most!

  • As the Sun Shines Through. This was taken in one of the English World War One trenches in Belgium. It’s the kind of thing many soldiers woke up to every day. This was a good sign, it means that they made it through the damp and cold miserable night. Samsung Digimax D103

  • The first thing we did when we reached Wildwood, New-Jersey for our last family vacation was to park the car close to the beach, remove our shoes and go for a walk in the sand. We didn’t even go to our lodgings first… that could certainly wait! The boys (17, 16 and 14), who were still dressed in short and t-shirt from the 11-hour car ride, ran into the water all dressed up, while mom and dad just looked around and relaxed a bit. A father and son were flying a kite a short distance away, and I thought that its bright colours looked great against the dark cloudy sky. Just as I whipped out my camera to make the shot, the sun peeked out from behind the clouds, making the kite look as if it were dancing on a sun ray… What a great welcome! :-) Focal length 55mm / ISO-100 / Aperture f/14 / Shutter 1/800 sec. • Cove Bay is a small cove located near to the village of Hopeman which in turn is located West of Lossiemouth. I spent many a happy hour here as a youth and camped in the grassy banks of the cove on many occasions. A special place for many I would guess. Drove across there tonight in time for the sunset. This shot was taken some 20 mins. after sundown when I noticed some bird footprints in the sand and tried to replicate a similar but different ‘S’ curve using the two rocks, the water run-off and the waves. Lossiemouth and Hopeman are located in Moray, Scotland. • “Red sky at night, sailor’s delight. Red sky in morning, sailor’s warning.” / ~Old Adage Taken about 15-20 minutes after the first shot Sunset Over The Marina, the view over the water and marina had changed dramatically, and I just couldn’t make up my mind which one to upload of the three images so I decided to leave that up to the viewer. • Underwater a beautiful adonis takes a moon night dip

  • Sunrise over the Irish Sea. Taken from Newcastle beach in County Down, Northern Ireland. Not critically sharp due to strong winds and the tripod slowly sinking into the sand. / Canon 5D mkII 24-70 2.8L. ND4 filter plus 3 stop ND grad.
