  • Acrylic on canvas. One of my favourite paintings. My mother had kept a horrible painting from school in the house and I couldn’t stand it.. so I painted over it. The canvas had quite a bit of texture paste already on it which made it a little difficult to paint over but it added something in the end. You can’t see it as much in this photo for printing purposes. The first photo I had up showed the texture extra severly, which made it look like pixelation.. so I tried it again. From a sad old man playing a guitar, to a young woman with a cello.. better off I’d say.. Reference

  • Listen to the song here There is a long story behind this photo. A time, when I think about it, brought a lot of sadness to me. Things past cannot be changed, but we can learn heaps from the experiences. Yes I lamented and I learned a great deal. • I decided to make a shirt with just the bird from my Whistle drawing. Why? Cause I’m thinking about buying it myself, once I have lost some weight (so I can fit in the M size). =P There is a version for dark shirts (this one) and one for light shirts here . I also made an Illustrator version of the bird, but after some feedback on the forums decided not to post it. You can see them all here . / If you are interested in them though, be sure to let me know. =P For the Boy version of this shirt, go here

  • As a once psychology major, I was intrigued by Freud’s theory on the id and ego of the human psyche. It has been many years since those classes so my words may be somewhat off. But this piece is a self representation (aren’t they all?) of myself and how the “id” and “ego” play in our life decisions. We all seek pleasure and that constant feeling of euphoria, and our “id”’s only goal is to achieve those feelings without worry or care about the consequences of such actions. It is our “ego” that keeps the “id” in line, allowing us to think before we act, and to be able to foresee what may come of this pleasure seeking. It is a constant battle that wages on beneath our skin and sometimes the “id” overcomes. Some choose to live only by the “id”s bidding and never realize the destruction they leave behind when seeking their pleasures. I have been through that lifestyle once, and as much as I enjoyed such pleasures in bountiful amounts….the aftershock of those actions can still be felt today.
