Chris Fortier is one of the worlds top Dj’s. Hailing from Canada Chris started the label Fade with his mate Steve Porter. As the producer, he has released over 40 original productions and remixed countless more. Most notably in 1998, scoring an international dance hit with his original reworking of Delerium’s “Silence. The background for this shot has been overused for wedding photos in Melbourne. However the reason I wanted to use it for this shot was to get the pure impact of the angles to really enhance Chris’ face. I figure the key to a successful shot is either taking something that’s never been taken before… Or… taking one that has been oversaturated in the market and doing something different with it.

Woah I just realised how long it’s been since I put new work up. Sorry guys! This was the line up for Brisbane’s ‘Beserk’ Clothing at this year’s Circa Nocturna, held back in February at the Fitzroy town hall in Melbourne. It’s the biggest alt fashion show in the country, and these girls rocked it in ‘09 for Fleur [the designer]. Pictured L-R: / Hana-chan / Stephanie Savage / Elissa / Kirsten Rois You can buy the Beserk Clothing range online through their Store here Cheers to Matt for letting me crash his party ;) Featured in the current issue of Fiend Magazine Copyright 2009 Harmony Nicholas

Each year Melbourne hosts the world famous horse race, the “Melbourne Cup”. Cruise ships come for this event, and here was the “Pacific dawn”, tied up at Port Melbourne, last night, ablaze with lights.
She was one of the revelers in town after the Melbourne Cup.and was pretty drunk. A few seconds after I took this photo she smashed her boyfriend with her handbag though it was all in fun. I like this photo blurry and a little dark as it is the feeling I get in inner Melbourne after the cup. Its all a sort of whirl and a little threatening. . / .
