Dark side
another of the magnificent dark towering edifices in the Melbourne skyline after dark… I think but don’t quote me on it … it may be the Casino…. but I don’t really care… I don’t go into casinos as a rule…life itself is all the gamble I need … but hey it’s one of those dark brooding buildings that Melbourne seems to do so well…. it’s down toward Docklands….. and filled with dark brooding people too I imagine …. the architecture south of the border is really something else I must say… us lot up in Sinny just seem to rely on our splendiferous Harbour and Bridge and Opery house and all the other abundant natural beauty to absolve us from all our other sins in terms of the built envionment… Melbourne needs to work harder to keep up… and you know what… all that hard work is paying off…. it’s a beautiful city filled with marvellous buildings and stunning public art…....well fed square…. I’ll get back to you on that…. sorry but you know….. whatever….. / . / . /

Melbourne, near the Convention Centre.
I went out to see the city of Melbourne last week, camera in hand. Amongst many more colourful festive images, a few darker, brooding scenes grabbed me. This one is just outside the Melbourne Convention Centre. Lumix TZ11.
