A Susan Epps Oliver original 2008. All rights reserved This work was derived from basically a happy snap taken whilst out walking on Skyline Drive in Virginia. The night I worked on it was stormy and kind of eerie so I decided to imagine how the bridge might have looked on that night. I used the fractalius filter ( Photoshop plug-in ) to give the stringiness to the foliage and then played with many variations in brightness/contrast, colour etc until I arrived at the effect I wanted. It was about 3 hours work which included cloning out stuff which I thought made the image look cluttered. As a once psychology major, I was intrigued by Freud’s theory on the id and ego of the human psyche. It has been many years since those classes so my words may be somewhat off. But this piece is a self representation (aren’t they all?) of myself and how the “id” and “ego” play in our life decisions. We all seek pleasure and that constant feeling of euphoria, and our “id”’s only goal is to achieve those feelings without worry or care about the consequences of such actions. It is our “ego” that keeps the “id” in line, allowing us to think before we act, and to be able to foresee what may come of this pleasure seeking. It is a constant battle that wages on beneath our skin and sometimes the “id” overcomes. Some choose to live only by the “id”s bidding and never realize the destruction they leave behind when seeking their pleasures. I have been through that lifestyle once, and as much as I enjoyed such pleasures in bountiful amounts….the aftershock of those actions can still be felt today.
For quite some time now, about 3 months,I have been experiencing a lot / of pain throughout my body that the doctor’s can’t seem to pinpoint. This piece / was inspired by my tarot card drawing for yesterday.
This took me 10 hours straight to complete. All crafted in photoshop, and to give it that special 3d edge, I used the Styles – heavily. OTHER WORK BY DIESEL LAWS /

Surrealistic Digital Art / / 1st place in the In Another World…. group – Circles Challenge. / / Mousepads in Zazzle / / / Insight into my work / / / Even when we are living in the present we try and analyze everything with reference to the past and when we plan or think about the future we use past as a background for all our projections. We are here we want to be there – we always think with the past in mind. Even when we try to understand something new we try to refer it to past theories, facts, formula and then try to put meaning to the new experience. And this is where we become blind to new ideas, concepts, theories etc. / / / MCN:CVTGD-2VTX5-WQM11 © Imber 2009. This was meant to be part of something bigger, but as i finished i’ve realised that this actual part is about 2cm big …... ALL that detail will be lost! So instead of trashing it, i thought i’d throw it up as a preview to Death Web Yes … time for my darkhalf to emerge, me thinks. Heavily inspired by Simon Sherry’s (GoK) lastest offerings. details: /

Decided to have a go at making a Tshirt. The character is Sparroh, who is rapidly becoming my mascot _ This is also serving as a bit of test, if all goes well I may produce more Tee’s.
