  • An old Holden I snapped in the backstreets of Fitzroy, Melbourne. Bit of obvious PS work on it. Texture overlays, used the PS warp tool to alter the chrome fender into tusks and the background was removed and replaced with something a little more thematic.

  • Okay this piece was inspired by UmbraDeNoatpe-stock at http://umbradenoapte-stock.deviantart.com/art/Stock-23-83970696 . Its a brilliant puddle that jumped out at me as soon as I saw it. I closed my eyes and took this mental picture you see now… I just had to get it into photoshop and turn it into a dream. The title says it all. It took me around 4 days to finish it but I think the florals, colours, light and dark, and finally magic really give that digital fantasy feel all within a puddle. • As you can see from the concept sketch, I made quite a few changes for the final redition of “City”. There may yet be another story hiding in this sketch…originally entitled, “Wasted” :) It was late when the gates of the old city appeared. I kept “Frog 1” on auto pilot, just to note the changes and to enjoy the reflected purple haze through the newer sections and over the old walls. The giant air bladder at the base of the ancient entrance was partially illuminated. It was two decades since they had been installed, ringing the city with life-giving bubbles. With plants having long disappeared from this world, their function was crucial. The only greenery now was from a type of red and green algae which grew along the cold rock faces. It was sad to be reminded of the past, but it was good to be home once more…

  • Done in gimp and put into photoshop for finish. / Book Cover for, The Future of the City. / A city future, this is a dream city I did after waking up and putting it on paper then in the computer. • Surrealistic Digital Art / / 1st place in the In Another World…. group – Circles Challenge. / / Mousepads in Zazzle / / / Insight into my work / / / Even when we are living in the present we try and analyze everything with reference to the past and when we plan or think about the future we use past as a background for all our projections. We are here we want to be there – we always think with the past in mind. Even when we try to understand something new we try to refer it to past theories, facts, formula and then try to put meaning to the new experience. And this is where we become blind to new ideas, concepts, theories etc. / / / MCN:CVTGD-2VTX5-WQM11 © Imber 2009. • Well this one started out as a drawing of a tornado, then I started to see mechnical bits and pieces in it and then….oh well you know how it goes :) Storm Cruiser The remnants of the Bubble Clan watched awestruck near the base of, Last Stand Hill, as the Monolithic Storm Cruiser, inched its deadly way across the plane. They were not its target, for now, but they would not be able to stay here for long. The mountain ledge photon cannon, was automatically readying itself. Its threat detectors had been activated days ago when the battle tank had first appeared on their horizon. It seemed to offer little hope against the approaching monster, but it may buy them a little time. They had not expected the war. The Bubblers were a peaceful, intelligent and cooperative artistic community. They created living artworks which reflected an inner contact with the pulse of life itself. Initially they supplied the subtle sense needs of the other communities on this planet, their home, Klezz. Then as demand for their amazing works grew, news of this spread across the galaxy and soon they were trading across the divide, linking happily to other worlds, through CWT (Cosmic Wormhole Travel ) Now, paralysed with fear, Bubblers could only speculate about what had gone wrong. The CWT was supposed to filter out sentient beings of a dark and negative nature, but somehow the Kalmardans had arrived and from the safety of their giant, dark, disk-headed tyrannosaur like tanks, they crunched their way coldly and efficiently across the surface of Klezz. The cruisers had been designed with horrifying ingenuity. They created and harnessed electrical storms. The static required to fire their deadly lightning-blaster cannons was created by counter rotating successive layers of metallic disks at high speed. The air trapped in between the disks was ionised in a fraction of a second and the energy directed in concert to the unfortunates, in the designated target area. The sound alone was enough to terrify populations into submission. Should that fail, as it had in Bubble City, then the high energy bolts would cut through the toughest Bubble Domes, searching out weak points at the entrances. Kal, wiped a tear from his face and called to the others. It was time to move.
