The cold morning mist had yet to rise over this North London Cemetery when I took these shots… very spooky trust me!

Once again the light was winning on this spectacular November morning! Taken halfway between Hilversum and Laage Vuursche in the Netherlands on one of the most beautiful cycling paths in the forests around here! Near HIlversum, 14th November 2007, 9.55 am / Nikon D 80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 112 mm / F 16, 1/60, ISO 400 Featured in “Shots in the Fog”.

A dark night, in the city that never sleeps. Fog was creeping in, in that sneaky way that fog has. It was plucking at the legs of three friends, trying to trip them up. They were just trying to get to the next hot nightspot, where the fog would be man-made and the lights would glow eerily and the music would echo, only you couldn’t hear the echo because it was so loud.

Jack was created with 3 images using photoshop, many layers were needed, the gradient tool was used for the fog effect and a lot of dodging and burning was also needed for the shadows and highlights… I would like to thank Elandria for her kind permission for the use of the image of the female model in the picture..
