  • ORIGINAL PAINTING BY ARTIST … LIZ KINDER

  • This is my cover-drawing, the only one I coloured, and it shows the little blue-haired-girl’s room (and not a fairy like its usually believed) where Pinocchio finds out that the person he saw at the window is actually a dead girl whose grave lies in the courtyard of the house, along the seaside . The girl threatens Pinocchio, saying that he has to get medicines or else he’ll die. This is my interpretation of that stage.

  • Been a bit I know. Had a very brief moment to get an idea out of my head. A quick rundown of materials and then you can here the bullshit lies…er story behind it ;) Materials: Joint compound, ink, acrylics, pen, brush I’m not even sure on where to begin so let’s just roll with it all shall we? Things haven’t been going as planned in life and as I sit and dwell on them I only drag myself back into a hole of depression and continue to bury myself within the hole with more worry and more bullshit. The saying is true, “shit adds up at the bottom”, also a great line by Tool. Anyway, everytime I get ahead and feel that things might start to look up, something else happens and more shit is added to my surround quicksand like pile that I seem to enjoy so much that I won’t try and remove myself from it. It’s enough to give someone a headache, or moreso an aneurysm. At least with the aneurysm I can no longer have to worry about the depression, the fear, or the sense of hopelessness that I’ve been feeling as of late. Am I the only one who feels this way? I doubt it, nor do I feel my situation is any worse than the next person, but I just feel the need to vent it in a less harmless way…..

  • My husband took this picture of me at the Good Faery / Bad Faery Masquerade Balls in Eugene, OR in February of ‘09. This was on Bad Faery Night. I was The Bringer of Storms…a dark faery that can controll the destructive forces of weather. I made the mask, the wings, the necklace, and designed the dress…I can’t sew so I had a friend actually make the dress for me. :) I’m uploading this for the Wearing a Mask challenge in the First Things Group

  • A Digital Painting done back in 08. This is “technically” my first picture I tried digital painting treatment on, and because of the off and on practice I’ve used the skills I learned from this on my other newer pictures. Thankfully I’ve gotten faster since I began this. Personally I don’t really know how many hours I put into this, it was a “just for the heck of it” picture…though..those are the ones that are usually better. This was also a study of lighting, I’ve always wanted to do a picture with back lighting. Tools of the Trade : Photoshop Cs, Cintiq Tablet

  • part of the medieval fairies, this one was about being brave and facing or confronting fears. the candle is like a weapon, lighting up everything in front, so nothing can appear and frighten, and the pose was a metaphor for looking back through one’s memories to see the progress of how far you’ve come

  • Cinderella. Throughout life she’d been treated unfairly. That is until one day a fairy godmother came along and promised her one night of magic. But, Cinderella should have been more careful with who she trusted. This wasn’t your normal fairy godmother, no. This was a demon. When Cinderella agreed to the godmother’s deal, it seemed the world had been laid at her feet. She danced the night away with her Prince Charming. She laughed and giggled and was merry. When the clock struck 12 Cinderella knew she had to leave so she hurried, jumping into her golden carriage and scurrying off. Half-way home the ride became bumpy and Cinderella tried poking her head out to see what was going on. To her surprise she was immediately blinded by a searing bright light and pulled her head back inside. Trembling overtook her body as the inside of the carriage began to melt and turn back into that pumpkin orange. Eyes and a nose formed in the ceiling. Then the carriage door began to melt into sharp points and a loud, ghastly laugh sounded. “AH Ha-ha-ha-ha! Welcome Cinderella, are you enjoying your ride?” “Who are you?!” “A little warm in here, isn’t it?” Flames shot inward through the door, now it’s mouth, and the inside of the carriage caught fire. Cinderella tried stamping it out but the floor only melted, absorbing her feet. She thought out an escape as clearly as possible with the flames licking at her legs. “Sold your soul for vengeance, Cindy. Haha, now a girl like you should know better.” “Who are you?!” Her hands met the mouth of the jack-o-lantern carriage and pulled, freeing her feet. “Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!” She managed to pull her body half way out of the carriage when she heard a low growl, then another, and another. Not more than two feet away was a three headed dog. A demon dog. Cerberus. Cinderella shot back inside of the carriage as it kept laughing, mocking her. Flames engulfed the pumpkin and she knew that she was in hell. The heat was unbearable, the smells horrendous, and that cackle drover her to insanity! She let out a soul shattering scream as she became possessed… She was now a demon as well.

  • What healing is there in the night from this pain? You will never know true happiness / until you have truly loved, / and you will never understand / what pain really is / until you have lost it. / by Anonymous Try to leave the pain behind so your heart can heal this night …. I’d like to run away / From you, / But if you didn’t come / And find me … / I would die. / by Shirley Bassey When the pain is gone, what more do I seek in the stillness of night … Other men said they have seen angels, / But I have seen thee / And thou art enough. / by G. Moore Listen as you wait in the darkness of the night /

  • Darkness is neither the enemy of light, neither it’s source of power. / Darkness is more complex, since hides within itself a greater hole, that is not filled until it is brought into the light. All that IS, and is seen, is a complete and finite work. That which is hidden, hides greatness within, since it contains all the forms to witch it could give birth to. — High contrast white/dark winter. / Romania, Eastern Carpathians.

  • This universe is like a diamond – solid, strong, and finite. And we were destined to live on one of it’s many facets. But each facet mirrors the ones that are near, and light travels trough all of them, and most of the time we see a distorted image of that which was once pure. We are the shadows of a pure distinct ray of light. - Romania, Eastern Carpathians mountains.
