This is a quote made by the Joker in the latest Batman film, The Dark Knight. I believe the entire sequence goes like this: Joker: How about a magic trick? / [He twists a pencil into the table] Joker: I’m going to make this pencil disappear. [Gambol’s henchman tries to attack him; He then slams the man’s head into it the pencil. The man falls over dead.] Joker: Taa-daa!

This was my 3 year old daughters first time playing in the rain. It was so amazing to watch her delight . I think we can all relate to tilting our faces up toward the heavens, trying to catch the rain as it falls on our cheeks.

This is part of a series i have put together. I am growing ever fascinated with childhood, their thoughts and in particular children’s literature, art and so-called amusement – there is always an intense darkness about it – so i have tried to create dark images visually and psychologically – i didn’t ask Abe to pose but was pleased his head was turned because now i hope we look through him and discover our own thoughts (Hope that makes sense to you).

Layers of wood and a portrait ,same model as «Tragic» same processing as «Torn». / When I did that image I thought about how menkind should be more united with the earth ,to feel renewed by the the contact of nature to become a better individuaL,TO BECOME A FREE THINKER.As long as we are trying to control the earth nothing good will come out of it,I often thought that we should be more like trees who are the lungs of our beautiful planet. / /

Photographic based digital montage – 2007 (no 2 from series of 3). Shot two seperate models & P/S combined them. I also draw in & enhanced part of the headpeice, the body, the dress, added a fringe to the face, hid the eyes, made the features more angular, blew up the lips, created cheekbones, reworked the branches, filtered wallpaper effects, extended the chandelier, added lacework/flower elements, desaturated the lot & added a sepia tone. Thank you to both models who wish to remain anonymous. Approximately 50 Photoshop layers. Just Sometimes (Song of Laughter and Forgetting) by Swervedriver – entered in Red Bubble ‘songmanip07 – Musical Photo Competition’. So many great entries. Shot at the trainstation in Aarhus, Denmark in January – a train was leaving the station, and as I walked up along the carts, I noticed this guy sitting there. I moved a couple of carts ahead, put the viewfinder to my eye, waited for him to get in the picture – and snap.

This was a beautiful place to be – when the children were there is became magical – every door opened wasn’t a garden it was the secret garden and we had to look for lepricorns and fairies and smell every flower and describe every tree.
