This particular daffy stood out for me in the original photo, he seemed to be reaching for an extra share of sunlight over his buddies. Thanks to young Merv at Camera Club tonight, I finally figured out how to make it look the way I wanted it to. Ranger my Border Collie loves his tennis ball, I use it when training him as he knows that if he has it then he can do what he wants, but when I have the ball then I am in charge and must do what I ask of him in order to win it back.

One of the two squirrels that frequent the garden! This is the smallest, and the more timid of the two. It watched me for quite some time before plucking up the courage to climb up on the bird table and eat the nuts. Photography and editing by Jennifer Woodward © 2008

This shot was taken during the “lows” when no military aircraft were on the Navy-Dare Bombing range to complete their bombing runs. I love the way this shot turned out, especially the reflection and the lili’s shadow cast onto the lilipad just to the right. The water in these drainage culverts literally is this black, the private security firm called Blackwater, trains right near this range, hence their name I suppose.

This one is not in the charity series. I took it at Port Melbourne because I thought it served as a great analogy for adventure. It captured the last moment of contact with the known before leaping off into the unknown.
