A piece dedicated to my very special and extremely talented friend Dave Moilanen. Dave Moilanen When I first met Dave, he was just a beginning artist with so much talent and promise. His flame fractals were so beautiful that I fell in love with them. The rest is history! So, love, hugs and much more continued success to you Dave!

A while back I was working with a music note tutorial by one of my fav fractal artists on devart, shortgreenpigg, and this is my favorite result :) edit: Uploaded a better version
A young woman awakens with startled in the night…the room is dark save a glow from the window of moonlight from the window behind her desk in the bedroom. Mirrored on either side of the room there are odd night-time reflections as the stool by the desk is turning over….she is in “fight or flight” mode to defend herself against an invader…But,... it is her favorite stuffed toy from childhood which she had hung over the desk…the threads have broken, and her old favorite stuffed toy has become a frightening “bump in the night.”
aka: happy accident ;o) I’m working on a piece called myriad prose (...watch this space) anyways, by happy accident – here it is naked of most of it’s layers – I quite like it like this! OK, the finished version’s done now. Still this i prefer this one! /
Here’s a doodly drawing thing I did a little while back. I’ve used it a lot of projects, but here it is, naked of color and all on it’s own! Also available in Tshirt form soon!
original work done in Apophysis with kaleidoscope work done in PaintShopPro and post work in Gimp DSQ08-2-0-20
Extended version here The inside image was originally hand drawn (with rulers & squares). Scanned and added the rest through photoshop. This version I inverted the colours on some parts so black is now white and white now black. The only thing missing is some shades of grey. FEATURED in The Patchwork .
Created in circa 2005 in Ultra Fractal. Feedback always appreciated You may not use my artwork without my permission. If you’d like to use a piece, contact me and we’ll discuss how you can.

Creation is possible only by giving a part of yourself. So it was when 3 friends gathered to create the dragon. They met at the creating place and each used their voice to light the floor below them. / Dinokonda placed a tooth on the floor in the centre and the ceremony began. “’Dragon’ is what we will call you and you will be made from this tooth that we bring to this undisturbed creating place.” / Dinokonda paused and thought / “I give you my long supple spine and strong jaws.” / The gargoyle spoke next, / “You will have my wings” / The gremlin spoke up next, / “You will have limbs, front and back and on every finger a strong claw, these you shall have from me.” The creating continued, Dinokonda gave her strong armoured skin and the gargoyle passed on his skill of patience and the gremlin his love of chaos and disaster. They worked on giving parts of themselves until the dragon was splendid and they were all handsomely pleased with their creation. The dragon roared with delight and excitement when he was completed and threw up his head and belched fire! “Whoa!” Gargoyle said backing off, “What was that? None of us gave him fire! What these early creators did not realise was that once creation has begun it takes it’s own path. For the dragon that path was a firey breath! Picture made in Carrara 6 standard
The greatest symphony ever scored is that of the Creator’s composition of the Universe. The notation is expressed to us as fractal mathematics. The score is based in Theme and Variation, and the instruments are stardust and light.

I don’t even want to guess how long I’ve spent on this piece. I’ve always loved doing black line drawing.. This one is hand drawn (with square rulers etc) from the centre to 4 layers out. I then scanned it and did the rest in photoshop (first time I’ve done this kind of work on photoshop and I loved it). I find this kind of highly detailed work very relaxing and almost meditative for me. I enjoy it very much. .
