  • One of my other loves are rabbits. I rescued my first wild rabbit kit when I just 16. In the years that followed I managed to be in the right place, at the right time to give these wonderful creatures a warm home as well. / We adopted this beautiful boy from my cousin, his name was “Biscuit”. He and Simon became the best of friends and Simon would spend hours grooming Biscuit. This photo of the two of them is one I will always cherish. 2 Sales /

  • This is our precious fellow named “Little” Bob. So named because he was rescued along with his twin brother of which he was the smallest. During the time that we were nursing them back to health through their kitten hood, instead of giving them individual names my husband and I would just refer to them as “Little Bob” or “Big Bob”...and it stuck. / Now the two aren’t so identical though as Little Bob’s health hasn’t been that good over the past few years and an ear infection, and a hematoma that he scratched in his ear flap while we were trying to get him healthy eventually caused the one ear to droop. / Either way, he’s still precious to us and just as beautiful. Also available in a mug. Please visit my Zazzle gallery here:

  • Sidney the bunny and P.J. may share a lot of things, but Sidney’s cabbage isn’t one of them. July 5, 2009 Top Tenner in the Pets Are Us group challenge Beautiful Bunnies here: Featured by the “Playful Photogenic Pets” group here: /

  • Peanut (our 12 year old Spitz mix) and now 2 year old “Minnette”. / Minnette was one of 4 orphan puppies whose mother was killed during a house fire. We were asked to raise the pups who were only about 2 weeks old at the time. / We raised them on a bottle, and Peanut here, along with the other adult dogs in our family, gave these little souls the comfort and attention they needed to grow up happy and healthy. Little Minnette here was actually the runt of the litter and still remains the smaller of the four.

  • 1 Sale Framed Print “Thou art the Great Cat, the avenger of the gods, and the judge of words, and the president of the sovereign chiefs and the governor of the holy Circle; thou art indeed…the Great Cat.” / Inscription on the royal tombs at Thebes (My mothers rescued cat “Rocky”. Taken just this morning during our walk. This shot is “as is and has not been altered in any way.) This image can now be purchased on U.S. postage stamps / / as well as other products by visiting My ZAZZLE gallery:

  • November, 2009 Featured by the “Paws n Claws” group here: / Thank you so much! / 1 Sale Framed Print, 2008 This is one of two shots that I humbly submit as my “Meeko series”. / These shots were taken with my Kodak digital camera and are totally “AS IS”. / I have not even made any adjustments for lighting. Meeko is my parents Persian/Himmy mix, whom they adopted several years ago. Meeko is a very large boy and weighs between 21 and 22 pounds as of his check-up this year. / He isn’t a young man anymore either; having reached the wonderfully healthy age of 11 years. Created by God here:

  • This is the second of two shots that I humbly submit as my “Meeko series”. / These shots were taken with my Kodak Easyshare ZD710 digital camera and are totally “AS IS”. / I have not even made any adjustments for lighting. Meeko is my parents Presian/Himmy mix, whom they adopted several years ago. Meeko is a very large boy and weighs between 21 and 22 pounds as of his check-up this year. / He isn’t a young man anymore either; having reached the wonderfully healthy age of 11 years. • Ho! Ho! Ho! Have a “Beary” Merry Christmas! / Looks great on a t-shirt available here: / Also available here: at my Zazzle store on other great products just right for Christmas gifting. /

  • Christmas kitties card created from an old paper t-shirt transfer that I found; which I thought might look cute colored and Photoshopped to recreate it on a Christmas card.

  • Pudgee is a Great Pyrenees mix that not long ago lived with her owners next door to us along with her pure blooded Pyrenees mother. Only a chain link fence kept her away from us; and over the years that did not always stop her. / Not long ago her owners opted to give her up and it seemed only logical that she come live here. Of course we couldn’t turn her away as she had come to know us, and our dogs as well as her original family. / The past few months have been an adjustment for her, mainly because she’s not used to being fed on a regular basis and tends to want to hoard her food. / She’s not aggressive though, just fearful that it may be a long time from one meal to the next. This capture of her, taken only a few weeks ago and edited in Photoshop using artists filters, has been one of my most favorite of her so far. You can see in her eyes the sweet, and loving dog that she is, but knowing her as I do, I can also detect that spark of fear that tomorrow she’ll be fending for herself again and just another yard dog. I hope as time passes she’ll learn she has a forever home now and won’t ever have to live life on the outside again.

  • A Christmas theme design featuring our little pup Toby.

  • “Paws” or “Pause”....Either way you spell it, in this capture which is 2 of 3 in a series, P.J. shows his silly side as he wakes up long enough to “paw” at the camera. “AS IS” and was taken with my Kodak Easy Share ZD710 Digital camera. “Dreaming Among the Ferns” / Featured by “For the Love of Cats” group here: / “Paws Among the Ferns” /

  • Photo of Bob treated with carving filter in Photoshop 7. Visit my Zazzle Gallery here: for other items featuring this design.

  • Another shot of Chloe as she continued to pose for me. I couldn’t resist making a set of these two shots. Chloe is one of “Bob’s Family” and has been with us for some time. She’s the one that sets in my lap, and over my arm through most every stroke of the keyboard and click of the mouse. She was one of several (both Bob’s, Squeek, Thomas, Simon, Cody, Sam and E.T.) that were found near our neighborhood in a sack, as sickly kittens, thrown out near the railroad track. / We nursed them all back to health and planned on finding homes for all of them, but after they were fixed and healthy, they were part of our family, forever! This photo is totally AS IS and taken with my Kodak Easyshare ZD710 The Face of a Rescued Cat here:

  • Scruffy was curious all right. And this shot I took of him only proves that had I looked away for one second the flower would have gotten it. / My featured model for this shot is Scruffy, another rescue that was dropped in our neighborhood about six years ago now, by a feral mother. Scruffy was the only kitten out of a small litter that survived. We never saw the mother again after she weened these kittens. / Scruffy was originally featured in this capture Join Me here: / / Which was my first feature in “The Rescued Pets Group”.

  • AS IS taken with my KODAK Easyshare ZD710 camera. ....”Please forgive me for breaking the vase, stealing the breast of chicken and chasing the new guy under the bed.” / Featured in this “prayerful” capture is Elmo. And yes, most days he has every reason to ask forgiveness from a higher power because he is quite the little stinker around here. But we love him. ;o)

  • I caught these two clowns (Muffin and Sam) making faces at me through the door the other day when I was out taking flower shots. Muffin (the one on the left) is the biggest silly of the pair and I ended up setting in the grass laughing at him make some of the silliest faces at me. / Hope you enjoy!

  • Our Basset/Corgi Mix “Shorty” was the model for this capture. / Thank you so much! Also available as a T-Shirt design here: / And when you have the shirt, don’t forget the matching KEDS SNEAKERS here: / Also available in other great gift items here: Mug / Mousepad /

  • November, 2009 Featured by the Domestic and Pedigree Cats group / Thank you so much! / October, 2009 Top Ten Challenge Winner, Domestic and Pedigree Cats Group here: Here’s the little guy whose tail will have to do a lot of growing to catch up with him. ;o) His father is highly likely the Manx Tom Cat that roams our neighborhood. In this case, I have no idea who the “momma” may be. Taken with my KODAK Easyshare ZD710, lighting adjusted slightly in Photoshop.

  • July, 2009 Featured by the You’re Accepted group here: / Thank you so much! My idea of the purr-fect paper shredder. It doesn’t help me much when I want a purr-fect piece of paper towel to clean up spills with, but when you have a cat around the house you learn to make every piece count. ;o) Capture taken of Elmo not long after he joined our family. Photo was rendered in Photoshop with a texture.
