  • Shot this back in November, 2004, when the grass was much greener, and there was water in the dam. There’s only been water in that dam one other time since then, and it lasted around 6 weeks….this is a nice reminder of what we used to have…. Sold this a number of times pre-redbubble, mostly A3 size, and it won me a $1500 prize from the Brisbane City Council, as well the John Herbert medal at APSCON 2005, and also a number of other smaller prizes. This was sold december 2008 on redbubble as a matted print. • This is a cement tube under the Mt. Baldy Dam. In the 1970’s when this was taken this place was hard to get to and in without being busted. But get in we did… That is my brother Todd on the wall, a natural skate boarder from the start.

  • This is the second HDR image shot the other day on my girlfriend’s property.. I was inspired to try my hand at an HDR involving a dam after seeing some of the brilliant work here on the Bubble.. I think it turned out well and I liked how the image almost looks as though it is bent if you look at the tree line.. / As always comments are most welcome! Thanks a lot for looking! • A timeless scene captured in the wonders of dr5 black and white film processing. The Scituate Reservoir is the largest body of fresh water in Rhode Island. The road over the dam that keeps the water within the reservoir has some of the most beautiful views in inland Rhode Island. This historic look was acheived by aiming an antique AGFA Clack camera directly into the sun. No digital manipulation was employed. (c) Paul Lavallee 2007 /

  • Yesterday we went fishing, all eleven of us and some friends. At one stage I asked Johnny (11) to carry Reilly (10 months) back to where we were picnicing. This is so typical of how Johnny carries Reilly most of the time, and Reilly just loves it. Can’t think why. ( : Anyway, I’m just glad to have captured this moment, their relationship continuously delights me. • Taken with a Canon 50D, Sigma 10-20 lens at 10mm, F11, shutter speed 1/15 second, ISO100, processed in Photoshop On Monday I went for a walk with the dynamic duo of Jason Connolly and Jamie Green near High Dam in the Lake District. The weather was overcast for the first hour but then we were greeted with wonderful autumnal sunshine. This is a view from Stott park overlooking the middle of Windermere. The title refers to Mr Cs annoyance that I got a shot of the bench in sunlight, when he arrived at this spot the sun would not come out….I did not hear the end of it for the rest of the walk…lol!!
