The moody lighting, war damage and contronting graffiti give drama to this Bosnian scene. It is a part of the everyday life of Bosnians in Sarajevo. For until it is all repaired, it is there to stay!
Closeup of a rusty old gas pump from the 1940s
Corrugated Iron Wall that gets driven into.
Another film image I just scanned – an old fence, somewhere in the Colorado Rockies.
I stood there for ages taking heaps of shots. Couldn’t get enough of that haunting post apocalyptic ceiling where below it’s business as usual – Don’t Look UP…
Old Buildings become art as nature takes over adding color and rust to the mix

Pencil on A4 paper. This is the original rough sketch for “Scratched, Smashed, Broken and Damaged”. My original idea for her was a completely different concept, but a similar composition. I ended up changing my mind and decided that that idea could be for something else. :) Anyway – ENJOY!
I pass this beautiful old Cottonwood tree twice a day, six days a week on my mail route. Every time I go by, I am reminded of the blessings and trials we all have here in this beloved country of ours. This tree is old, but vital. It has been hit by lightning and wounded, yet it has not died. It has come from a rather ignoble start in a ditch, to become a monument of strength. It has been bent, but not broken. In this time of political and economical upheaval, we may be wise to look at something like this old tree and thank God He has given us the blessings He has, and to do all we can to hold on to them with His guidance.

Saw this on a stroll out round east Manchester. The optimism in the message here I found absolutely astounding, had I had the cash I’d have bought it there and then :D

There was a large fire on the common back in the summer and it destroyed a large area on the top .It was nothing on the scale of those terrible fires they had in the States and Spain but for a small common it was devastating for the wildlife and the nature of the common in general . The area is showing signs of recovery now but it will be years before it recovers completely . The common is in Hampshire uk its called Broxhead .
