Loggerhead sea turtles are endangered, and their main threat is an industry that has nothing to do with them: the crabfishing industry. These turtles get caught in the crabfisher’s nets and are killed, even though the nets aren’t meant to capture them. There are many examples of this sort of collateral damage with ocean animals, and it has driven species such as porpoises, sunfish, seaturtles, and the baiji nearly to extinction (or fully to extinction in the case of the baiji). 100% of the profits from the sale of this print will be donated to the Caribbean Conservation Corporation, a four-star charity that is dedicated to the conservation and survival of the sea turtles.

The image has been created as an alternative to the popular and greatly exaggerated theory of global warming and its consequences. Since global warming activists predict a dramatic change of the planet’s surface in the nearest future, the Ice Age Premonition portrays our society in the new Ice Age. / Ice Age – A cold period marked by episodes of extensive glaciations alternating with episodes of relative warmth. Any geologic period during which thick ice sheets cover vast areas of land. Such periods of large-scale glaciations may last several million years and drastically reshape surface features of entire continents. A number of major ice ages have occurred throughout the Earth’s history; the most recent periods were during the Pleistocene Epoch. There have been at least four major ice ages in the Earth’s past. The last glacial period ended about ten thousand years ago. / Surrealism art prints / Digital art prints / Fantasy digital art wallpapers

This is the cloud that produced a large amount of hail that damaged a lot of Sydney properties on the 9-12-07. We were fortunate only to catch the edge of it at home. Taken with the wide angle lens at 17mm, I still couldn’t fit the whole cloud in the frame!!

My second piece of full on digital art, EVER. I personally feel I have improved since my first piece, “Elf”, and I hope to keep on improving. This one was a bit easier to do as I had my drawing tablet throughout the whole process. Whereas with “Elf” half of her was done with the mouse, and the other half with the drawing tablet. The following poem was written by my little sister, an artist of words, especially for this artwork. She has combined, twisted and rewritten old children’s Nursery Rhymes to have such an awesome effect. ENJOY! Scratched, Smashed, Broken and Damaged A broken bird watched from an oak / The more she saw the less she spoke / The less she spoke the more she heard / No one loves a broken bird But everyone loves a story Eeper Weeper, chimney sweeper / Had a wife, could barely keep her / They had a bub he didn’t love / So up the chimney bub was shoved Eeper Weeper, wheat and rye / Kissed the bub to make her cry / Kept the wife out of the way / So bub and he could gently play Hush little baby, still your mind / Mama has found a place Eeper won’t find / You find the poison, I’ll find the rope / And we’ll sail to Heaven in a little row boat Eeper Weeper, my dear Reaper / Come close and I go deeper / Choose a weapon, fist or word / No one loves a broken bird But broken wings can mend © 2008 Stack(’s Sister)

This is how my day started. Looking through the shattered glass of the driver’s side window of my Jeep that some punk shot out at last night. Why? Who the hell knows. All I know is that it isn’t covered by my deductible and I don’t know who did it, so I can’t go re-arrange their arse hole. Hmmm. Now where did I leave that 2lb bag (0.91 kilos) of Hershey’s kisses?? Somehow, I’m thinking its gonna be one of those days. © J.C. Montgomery

Photo of a small house (used to be a bar) off a southern point of Spanish Cay Bahamas. The house was boarded up and looked unused, likely in the wake of many hurricanes that hit this area. You can still see tiles missing on the roof. I had no idea the shot would turn out this good when I took it. One of my personal favorites.
