Yesterday’s rain in our catchment area, southwest of Sydney. A storm rolls in to add to an already healthy water level. Taken from the Burragorang Lookout – if you ever need to escape the rat race for a few hours, head out to this spot – details below. / Exploration of the Burragorang Valley commenced in 1802 and the first bridle track followed to explorers’ trail. A zig Zag road up the mountain started as a track for horses and bullocks but later made a wagon road although it was very steep. The valley became a popluar tourist destination and featured many guesthouses. Completion of Warragamba Dam flooded the valley and residents were moved into the neighbouring towns. From Nattai township, the road leads to the Burragorang Lookout. From this point, visitors can enjoy the spectacular view of the valley, now Lake Burragorang. / Height above sea level: 500 metres. / Wood BBQ’s are available, toilets, Picnic tables, playground and water. / Landscapes Trees Cards EOD Rusty Flowers Architecture Macro CatchAll DM
the next upload in my holga madness series. This is the same little boat in the same little dam as the shot I posted yesterday…. this time however its very very early in the morning and the rosy blush of the dawn sky can be seen reflected in the glassy waters of this beautiful little billabong. The little boat just serenely floats at the end of its tether waiting for the day to being and for people to seek it out and use its physicality rather just admire its form from the bank.
Taken at Rocky Creek Dam, NNSW.

This is a pic of the Powerhouse of a Wicket Dam that is located along the Ohio River at Chilo, Ohio close to were I live. The dam was used from 1925 to 1950, after that a bigger dam was built a few miles down the river. The Powerhouse is now a Museum.
