Shot this back in November, 2004, when the grass was much greener, and there was water in the dam. There’s only been water in that dam one other time since then, and it lasted around 6 weeks….this is a nice reminder of what we used to have…. This is .within minutes of Downtown Dryden..there is a path that follows around this marsh….with lots of nooks and crannies to explore… along with our resident 2 beavers..

This is the second HDR image shot the other day on my girlfriend’s property.. I was inspired to try my hand at an HDR involving a dam after seeing some of the brilliant work here on the Bubble.. I think it turned out well and I liked how the image almost looks as though it is bent if you look at the tree line.. / As always comments are most welcome! Thanks a lot for looking! This is a cement tube under the Mt. Baldy Dam. In the 1970’s when this was taken this place was hard to get to and in without being busted. But get in we did… That is my brother Todd on the wall, a natural skate boarder from the start.

Taken at Hume Weir, Albury Australia. Although we have had some rain of late the weir is still very low due to the drought. There are still plenty of dead trees sticking out of the water. The tangled/entwined appearance of this tree got me thinking about how all the elements are linked/entwined.

Another shot from an exposed tree due to the drought and low water level at the Hume Weir. Someone that viewed my image said that the swoosh of clouds and the tree reminded themof a magic wand.

Taken at Hume Weir Albury, Australia. Despite recent rain the water level in our weir is still very low (around 10%) so many of the old trees that were killed when the valley was damed are still poking through the water.
