I spotted this from across the road at a neighbors house. He was very happy for me to take some shots of his wonderful flowers. / This pink dalia stood out from the rest, so I just had to have it.
I created this for a scholarship submission. / I took a picture of our Dalia plant in the backyard. I isolated the Dalia and added some filters in Photoshop (Artistic > Rough Pastels and Brush Strokes> Ink Outlines). I then made it a transparency. / I created the fence by from an old picture of a fence and adding some brush work. / I created the text in AI and converted them to transparencies in Photoshop. I then placed all of these onto of the fence background. (I didn’t want to take too much time for this scholarship.) Please let me know what you think.
She giggles and squeals a little bit and then her pig shoes get lost underneath the dirty brown couch.
Dalia was the goddess of weaving and fate in the Lithuanian mythology. She was the giver and taker of goods and property. With her sister Laimė, Dalia is often paired with Laima. Dalia was the omniscient goddess of childbirth and destiny. She was associated with various animals like ducklings, swans, cuckoos, hawks, and yearlings. She was a spinner, weaver, and seamstress. She was also believed to cut off the cloth of life. The symbol of Laima or Dalia is a distaff. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dalia_(mythology)
