  • This is your chance to get really close to nature by picking up this close up cow. A Corrie Kuipers Original Design.

  • The Strezlecki ranges in Gippsland, well known for its dairy products.

  • About and hour and a half south of Melbourne lies Inverloch. A fishing and boating town it is surrounded by green rolling hills and beautiful farmland. It seems it’s one of the few places in Victoria where it still rains. / – Dog photography – Africa photography / - Beach photography - Black & white photography – Dog photography – Africa photography / - Beach photography - Monotone photography

  • Fashion meets…strong bones? / This milk cap from my family’s old farm was just begging to be put on a T-shirt.

  • A famous spot in past times, immortalised by Burns (in poetry) and Turner (in watercolour). Now just a quiet backwater.

  • The River Greta just before it meets the River Tees. A more romantic spot would be hard to find.

  • After I ran this through processing, it reminded me of something out of the Old West. Special thanks to the very talented Leah Highland for sharing your texture info! You’re awesome. :) / / / Douzy, at your request here is that info. :) / It’s the largest online collection of FREE (free!!!) textures / in the world. You can download up to 15 megs per day, so I’d / recommend saving the smaller versions, and then resizing them later. ;) TEXTURES Once again, thanks Leah!

  • I was driving along side some of the many paddocks that frequent my area (the Hawkesbury area) when I came across this cow, the light seemed to be pretty decent and seeing as how the cow was a few metres away I decided it would be a good opportunity to test out my new 55-200mm lens.. / The cow just would not look at me (unusual for a cow) and then finally it decided to sneak a glance so I snapped the shutter and this was the result.. / Post processing involved adjusting the exposure, contrast and levels, and then applying a vignette and a monochrome filter. / I havent uploaded anything for quite some time so I decided to throw this image to the wind and see if it flies or crashes and burns.. / As per usual comments and critiquing are more than welcome, and thanks very much for taking a look! Best viewed LARGE EXIF Data / Camera Body: Nikon D40 / Lens: AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED / Date: 15/04/2008 / Time: 4:23pm / Aperture: f5.6 / Shutter: 1/320 / ISO: 200 / Focal Length: 200mm

  • Find me a cheekier beef horse than this, and I’ll gladly give you my favourite teapot. Detail, colour, taste and pure cheek – this cheeky cow’s got the lot. To quote what she said to me just after I took the picture: “Moo”. And you can’t argue with that. Proud of your kitchen? Imagine this beauty on your wall. As a picture, I mean. Not the actual cow. Look at my lovely shop: http://baddoggy.redbubble.com/ Taken on the cliffs above Robin Hood’s Bay, near Whitby, North Yorkshire. I could’ve cropped it conventionally, but I couldn’t bring myself to chop out that sky.

  • Young Holstein cows on top of a hill. Azores islands, Portugal. / This photo was awarded an Honorable Mention in Popular Photography & Imaging magazine 2005 Annual International Contest, and was later published in that magazine.

  • A very popular animal here in New Zealand at the moment. Someone somewhere decided milk was worth more than it was getting, and suddenly NZ is no longer a country of sheep, but of dairy cows. They even briefly considered making it an icon of NZ… / I don’t like dairy farms, but I won’t rant about it here. I still like cows well enough though. :D Drawn in Photoshop CS4 / Please don’t use without permission~ Cheers~

  • Buttermere / Buttermere is a lake in the English Lake District in North West England. Historically within Cumberland, it is 1.25 miles (2,010 m) by 0.25 miles (400 m) wide, and is 75 feet (23 m) deep. It has an elevation above sea level of 329 feet (100 m). A place of considerable scenic value, it is situated towards the head of the valley of the River Cocker and is surrounded by fells, notably the High Stile range to the south west, Robinson to the north east, Fleetwith Pike and Haystacks to the south east and Grasmoor to the north west. The village of Buttermere stands at the north western end of the lake, and beyond this is Buttermere’s twin, Crummock Water. There is a path around the lake which is about 4.5 miles (7.2 km) long, and at one point runs through a rock tunnel beneath the locality of Hasness. Access is by road, from Cockermouth in the north west; from Borrowdale via the Honister Pass; or from Braithwaite and the Newlands Valley via Newlands Hause. The lake is owned by the National Trust and is part of the National Trust property called Buttermere and Ennerdale. / Info from Wikipedia / Buttermere means “the lake by the dairy pastures”. / Shot on my meet up with Steve Smith and Lesley G / Shot with a Nikon D300 and Sigma 10-20mm lens /

  • Another milk and spoons image, the mono version. Camera Model Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL / Shooting Mode Manual Exposure / Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/800 / Av( Aperture Value ) 5.6 / ISO Speed 200 / Lens EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 / Focal Length 46.0 mm Featured in Tone It Down – October 2009 – thank you!

  • Featured in Extreme Close-Ups August 19, 2009. Looks Best Full Size I fell deeply, madly, wildly in love with this sweet darling baby calf at Ann Rodriguez’s farm when The Keystone Group visited recently. What struck me as I viewed the image in the monitor was the reflection of one of the trucks (cars?) in her eye. And I wondered … was she planning her escape??? Ahhh … but for opposable thumbs … what a different world this might be for her … for us all. No beef for me tonight. Pass me a piece of fish instead, please. Image taken on August 8, 2009 near Manheim, PA with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens. Shutter was 1/200, aperture f/7.1, exp -.33, iso 3200. Slight cropping in Photoshop only.
