Dahlia ‘Juul’s Allstar’ at Eden.
Sony H5 with M3358 close up lens. Cropped back from 3072×2304 to 1808×1360 and rotated it for better viewing. Yes I know I can up-size it back to 3072×2304 but that way you loose image quality IMO. Hence only available as card or matted print. If anybody wants the original shot or an up-sized version let me know. / / Have a look at my other photos. Doesn’t the colors look like lemonade with a little strawberry or raspberry thrown in. This particular dahlia is not for sale and is part of the “Canby Dahlia Test Garden” at Swan Island Dahlia in Canby, Oregon. They are about 2 miles from my home and I spend most of my August there. They are just now starting to come to full bloom. The best part is everyone has dahlia’s and can be photographed very easily. I even have about 7 or 8 varieties in my own yard. 629 views on 11/7/2009 Nikon D80 Nikkor 105mm 1:1 lens TOP TEN in the Live and Let Live group “What are you “drawn to??? challenge / TOP TEN in the Gorgeous Flower Card group Perfect Yellow Flower challenge FEATURED in the Extreme Close-Ups group / Most Popular / My Favorites / Dahlias / Vehicles / Calendars / T-Shirts Please visit my bubblesite. Welcome to the New Year with Bouquets 2010 by Suzanne Lewis. Each month offers a gift of freshly picked garden flowers from the Pacific Northwest.
