This was taken at my work. He let me get about 4 ft from him. I am sure I could have gotten closer but his sharp claws and beak scared me LOL. Yes sitting on our mailbox :) He is a Goshawk. Possibly still a juvenile but I am unsure. I couldn’t have timed it better…the sun could be seen setting through the window of the house…captivating! Shot on the Wildlife Refuge near Lawton, Oklahoma. Big bushes with seed pods on the end. Early spring. Cloudy day… even sprinkled a few times. March 2009 Nikon D80 / Not altered.
