Image was taken in Washington DC, at one of the many Metro stations. I love the contrast between items in motion and the stationary objects. Processed with Redynamix to give it a slight HDR feel. Taken with Nikon D50 and Nikkor 18-70mm lens.

One of the reasons I love Redbubble so much, is the inspiration that other artists give me. Some time ago my australian mate Michael Bermingham posted Old Yanchep Inn which to me is a timeless classic. Then Shelly Hiebert posted Sacred which is just a fantastic image. I always wanted to get a shot similar to both of those and digging through my archives back to 2007, I came across this image I took with my Nikon D50 in the Madison State Capitol building. A little HDR processing, converted to B&W, little noise reduction applied, some Dodge & Burn (which Kimberly Palmer first introduced me to) and this is what I came up with. Please also look at Michael’s and Shelly’s image, as well as Kimberly’s work.

Interior view of the Hofkirche in Dresden, Germany. Truly a magnificent place! Best viewed large.
Can’t quite remember why the US flag was at half-staff, when I took this shot back in 2007. Finally took the opportunity to work on this image of the US Capitol Building in Washington, DC. This is an HDR image, with some add’l post preocessing steps applied (light Orton effect & dodge & burn). Photo was made with a Nikon D50 and I have no idea what lens I used.
Summer…goodbye…

I discovered the TTV technique today on flickr, so I tried a combination of my lomo Lc-a + Nikon D50 / I like the result. / Now I wanna get a Argus 75 because the Lomo Lc-a’s viewfinder is tiny! / I am glad to see that the same day, a TTV group just opened here! How weird.
MUSIC Nikon D50 18-55mm lens Derry, Northern Ireland. This is more or less the same view. In this one I love the light on the fields. Don’t worry about commenting, I’m thinking about a calendar with these. /

Captured this scene while crossing the Charles Bridge in Prague, heading to Prague Castle. During the day Charles Bridge comes to life with all sorts of artists, painters, performers and the like, a really neat place to visit. Charles Bridge crosses the river Vltava (Moldau), construction began in 1357! I can only highly recommend a visit to Prague, if you ever get a chance. I hope to return here someday for an extended photo safari. This is an HDR image, taken with my first DSLR, the Nikon D50 coupled with a Tokina 12-24mm lens and Feisol carbon fibre tripod with Gitzo head. My art with 1000+ views

So I took my Crazy Ass image and put it through the Fractalius plugin, and then HDR in Photomatix. Best viewed at 100%. I’ve always thought this would make a funny greeting card, don’t you?
