Car fumes in a narrow street in Florence, Italy
The area here around Hilversum really is a cyclist´s paradise. So I do 98 per cent of my trips by bike. in the course of time you will see quite a number of paths. This one actually is not an official cycling path, but rather a small road, but its special atmosphere tempted me to share it with you today already, knowing that quite a few of you like my misty shots. For those who might think we have mist here in the Netherlands all the time, let me tell you that we only have it on a few days, as there is far too much wind for mist on most days. But I have made mist photography my special hobby in the past years and must say that I enjoy it tremendously. So I try to go out whenever there is such a day. To be able to share some of this joy with you is a great boost for my photographic work! Actually this is again a typical Sunday morning shot. While fewer and fewer people go to Church here at that time, more and more go out into nature, walking, cycling, horse-riding, boating … So if you want a really quiet nature world in this over-crowded country on a Sunday, be home on Sunday morning at 9 am at the latest. When these guys chased along me, it was already two hours beyond that safety date! Near Maartensdijk, 23rd December 2007, 11.03 am / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18 – 200 mm at 200 mm / F 8, 1/250, ISO 200

A collaboration between Ademac and Textureofthesin (TOTS) Photographer: The highly esteemed, warmly regarded, and very talented Ademac Model: TOTS Bike: Model’s own An Ironman Triathlon is one of a series of long-distance triathlon races consisting of a 3.9k swim, 180k bike and 42.2k marathon run. Although thousands of athletes worldwide compete at an Ironman event each year, the vast majority aim simply to just finish the course if they are first timers, or set a PR (personal record) time if they’ve raced this distance before. The Ironman Triathlon is a grueling event that pushes its participants to the limits of endurance. I completed 3 but could not start my 4th due to injury. That bike and I have covered many thousands of kilometres…..... “Just fucking train.” Scott Molina 1991 Ultraman World Champion, 1988 Zofingen Duathlon Champion , 1988 Hawaii Ironman World Champion
Another shot for my series on “Dutch cyclists”, this time showing a man cycling home on the southern jetty at the harbour of Scheveningen while in the quite dramatic light of a December afternoon you can see cranes and a powerstation at Rotterdam harbour in the distance. Oh, not to forget the gull! She just came in time! Scheveningen, 3rd December 2007, 3.49 pm / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 200 mm / F 11, 1/160, ISO 200 Featured in “Bicycle”.
The cyclist on this picture was standing a long time on the southern jetty of the harbour at Scheveningen, watching the sun sinking into the North Sea. There had been a dark cloud bank coming up which seemed to end all possibilities of a beautiful sunset, but then the sky opened up again and allowed to see the spectacle of the last minutes of the sinking of the sun in a particularly impressive fashion. Scheveningen, 24th February 2009, 6.07 pm / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 200 mm / F 14, 1/100, ISO 200 Soon after the sun had gone done, and it was time to go home:

In Mount Gambier tonight waiting for the start of the Mount Gambier Photography Groups meeting at the Old Town Hall building when three lads rode past on their pushbikes. As they pulled wheel-stands and tricks the ground inset lighting threw large shadows along the wall of the heritage listed building. The lads were good enough to pass through time and time again for us so they we could get a range of images with a difference. Canon 400D – fixed 50 1.8 lens.

Featured in The Woman Photographer on 12 November 2009 – thank you so much! this image was taken on the 2nd Feb 2009 when we had those incredibly heavy snows here in London (heaviest snow fall this area has seen in the last 18 years or so!) It was an incredible day where all public transport was a total shambles and the city of London came to a grinding halt as folk could not get to into the city / to the office. Instead, people headed outdoors to enjoy the splendour of the day!! What a delight!!! And this image just seems to make the perfect Season’s Greetings card :) hence the upload now :)) I’d initially uploaded it here (my “old” profile … thanks to everyone who visited and left such generous notes and comments back then and even recently :) More seasonal images of the Epping Forest area can of course be viewed on the main SeeOneSoul website ... pages 7 – 9 of the Epping Gallery contain the winder shots :) Hope you enjoy viewing as much as I enjoyed seeing, experiencing & creating ;) ~ Tina
