the ever famous cats of Greece … this one wanted loads of love and would probably have also liked some food … every time I tried to get photos of him he’d head with his nose straight for my lens (had to wipe that clean a few times!); he seemed sure that I was crouching on the ground and getting all twisted in a knot in order to deliver love in the most lavish of forms, rather than for photographic purposes chuckles ! Canon EOS 450D 18-55mm kit lens featured in the Paws N Claws group – what a privilege !! thank you kindly!

from the port of Parikia, Paros we had taken a ferry across to Antiparos, where we’d spent the day meandering through the beautiful old village and relaxing on the beach. After we’d taken the ferry back across to Paros, we were treated to this dreamy sunset in the little harbour of Parikia – we sat next to the waterside enjoying a mezze … I ask you, does it get any better than this? – Witnessing moments like this – all of god’s splendour – makes time stand still … makes me feel like a child filled with breathless wonder!

This was taken from the balcony of my “cave house” in Oia, on the Island of Santorini in Greece. This is a place where time literally stands still in a good way. The island is also known as Fira. This town and island are so enchanted that the sunset is an event. People come in by the busloads and one has to get one’s spot at one of the restaurants on the western promontory well ahead of time.
