This is kind of different from my usual work. Normally, I dont view abstract as my forte..but I am slowly branching out and experimenting more and more and anyway….I thought that it was about time for something a little unexpected… This is actually a glass bubbled paperweight sitting on top of a green/cyan marbled plate…. I saw the little bubbles and contrast between all the colors and the different sizes and I just loved it… (and after I posted this image I was standing back away from my computer and I noticed something….. if you view the larger image and tilt your head to the left..sounds crazy I know.. and yes you will look funny doing it…but humor me and .just do it…....and guess what…you can see the shadow of my reflection.. well sort of…....wasnt on purpose…but hey..kinda cool…!) Thank you for looking! Suni
Title stolen from a Switchfoot song, but not an original idea… Enjoy!

H2O at Minus Twenty (Celsius): A macro study of ice crystals formed on a window pane while the temperature was -20 C outside on a sunny day. The crystals have been beautifully backlit and contrast with the shadows beyond. Taken in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in January. Also appears in the calendar Reflections of the Seasons
Last turn… and leave the darkness! These are the last meters where the waters of Trümmelbach are still hidden inside of the mountain. Lauterbrunnental, Switzerland. July 2008. Canon EOS 300X, Sigma 28-135, Manfrotto tripod. Post-processing: retouch, tonality adjustment, sharpening, colorize, crop to square, subtle frame.
another IR image from a few years back. This image was taken a while I strolled along the river Torrens in Adelaide a few days after my father died. It’s a very beautiful extended walkway that extends for some kilometres and backed on to where my father used to live. He would walk here with his thoughts and his cameras and produced some lovely work and this image is by way of a homage to him… to thank him for the gift of life and the great gift of sight he bequeathed me… and it was his great love of photography that gives me courage to take this medium on and make it the central focus of my life as an artist. / . /
