Featured in RB group “UK Visions” Sept 09 Art from the world of lawns and offices. Artists have always used the materials of their time.. they forged iron and steel. Today many people live and work surrounded by office machinery and it seems right to bring these into the artistic process… as some are already doing. Photocopier poem I like to take a drawing and play about with it.. in this case I put a simple pencil sketch it through a low cost copier ! I like the grainy feel the copier gives this. The original is a pencil drawing and quite delicate this feels quite different. For me this feels a bit like a Warhol… because the FAX process roughens and de-personalises the image. I would put the Mona Lisa through a copier just to see what comes out at the other end. I like the idea that I could FAX this to anyone anywhere and they would receive an original FAXED version. So if you talk to me nicely I might be persuaded to FAX you a copy of this work ! The original FAXED work was on that thin fax paper that darkens with age.. and so it will not last very long.. so in effect this image only now exists on my hard drive and on sites like this. So anyone ordering the online version is getting the nearest thing anyone can get to an original. Ok.. I’ll keep taking the pills. ;)

This is not my original sketch….I did it from a visual I saw somewhere…..but I carved it out of wood and its an A1 Catridge University Paper. Which means I had to cut this piece of wood FORVER! In fact I am going to take a photograph of the woodcut so you can see it. / 454 Views on 27/11/09 This particular print has sold with the woodcut plate. Did make an edition before I sold the plate.
This is the second additon to my first “Girl in A Landscape” that I recently sold. I was so upset I sold it I had to do another one just for me. Not yet mounted and framed this Girl In A Landscape is a Lino cut printed onto brown paper. Then hand coloured in ink, gouche, and pen. I am currently do another one , having my own printing press at home is a big help. 318 Views on 21/11/09

I’m genuinely interested. Anyone have any answers? From ANY ‘religion’ or ‘mythology’ from ANY culture? Yes, this is another composite image and yes, again, ALL images used were taken with my Sony Alpha 350 by ME. The only bit of the image that I will confirm is NOT a composite is that the snake WAS genuinely wrapped around my arm when I photographed it. FEATURED IN ‘BACK IN BLACK’! Card size abstract collage using various cut and torn papers and a shell form. Theme and colors are reminiscent of the beach.
In today’s society thin is “in”. What happened to the voluptuous female? Her hips and thighs full of unspoken promises. Breasts and tummy made for a pillow? An arse that a man could grip and sink his fingers into. Now women physically alter themselves to what they think men want: / / I think I rather spend my money on something more fun and enjoy the wonderful foods that are out there. Art has depicted women as: / / / One of the iconic women of the twentieth century: / / What happened to au naturale? No matter what body shape- you are beautiful. Let’s promote a generation of “healthy” women. This is my stomach. I am not over weight. A size 10 is a little too big for me, but it’s comfortable. I used to be a 6-7 when I worked out everyday and ate very little. I may have been thin and muscular, but it didn’t make me any happier. So, what if my stomach isn’t hard as steel? It’s okay with me. :-)
Collage using some beautiful hand-made paper by Soxy Fleming. (thank-you Soxy!) / A strange interpretation of that everyday sort of pain…
I nearly titled this “Mental Mildew,” because of the state of mind I’m in. But it’s too pretty and looks too much like gold (or something else nicer than mildew) to be stuck with a name like that. Maybe next time. Base image is one of the scanned images described here, with painting, editing and an additional layer added from the same group (for texture). Photoshop Elements 3. /

It has been a while I wanted to find how to make my cards fit perfectly, so the trimming done when printed wouldn’t affect the composition at all. / I know we could avoid adding elements too close from the edges, but when it comes to traditional art, I want my paper to be filled to the edges. And I’m sure I am not the only one having older works from any art media that are full frame/page, and not wanting to lose any details in them either. After a few trials and errors, I have finally found a way that works ! / Now, I am able to adjust those works and it only takes a few seconds to make them appropriate for RB print process =) / I thought some might find this useful as well, so here is how I do it (see how to below) and let’s start with a preview for you to see how it works fine. This is how it looks like in our portfolio (preview below). I know it is scary to see those borders! and I know many groups don’t allow borders to works submitted. But keep in mind that they only show up in the portfolio. / When you click the preview to see the card, no borders appear. You see it just as it will look like after RB trimmed the borders in the printing process. I hope hosts will consider it as ‘no border’ works, as it is what it will be when buyers receive their card. I would recommend to always make a preview of the card in your description, so everybody (buyers, hosts, etc) see the neat final product ! Now, click the preview image to see the card version, if you didn’t yet =) how to for a standard minimum resolution card 1320×920 pixels here’s what to do: / add 24 pixels to both sides (1320+48) total width should now be 1368 / add 24 pixels to the bottom (920+24) total height should now be 944 / For this horizontal view, the top of the card will not be trimmed (nothing to add) when doubling the size of the card (2640×1840px); / double the number of pixels on those 3 sides (same ratio), / so you get 48px to both sides (+96px total for width) and 48 to the bottom / Your card will now be 2736×1888 pixels, and ready to be printed ;-) / . / So this is it ! as simple as this. / I hope this will benefit to a lot of RBubblers =) Cheers / Aimelle~
