The breeder tells me that these cats are only 5 generations removed from the original tiger stock! They are exceptionally fast and non-cuddly, and spectacular!

The mouse….... Love them or hate them there here to stay I persomally have no problem with them lets face It they are rather cute however I do have a family living in my garage ! lol ….... (-: The average mouse in the wild lives only about 5 months, primarily due to heavy predation. Cats, wild dogs, foxes, birds of prey, snakes and even certain kinds of insects have been known to prey heavily upon mice. Nevertheless, due to its remarkable adaptability to almost any environment, and its ability to live commensally with humans, the mouse is regarded to be the third most successful mammalian species living on Earth today, after humans and the rat.
Rockhopper Penguin This species of penguin occurs in subantarctic waters of the western Pacific and Indian Oceans, as well as around the southern coasts of South America. The Southern Rockhopper Penguin is classified as Vulnerable species by the IUCN. Its population has declined by about one-third in the last thirty years. Their common name refers to the fact that unlike many other penguins which negotiate obstacles by sliding on their bellies or by awkward climbing using their flipper-like wings as aid, Rockhoppers will try to jump over boulders and across cracks.
The Lynx…... this has got to be one of my favourites of the wild cats…..... (-: Lynx are usually solitary, although a small group of lynx may travel and hunt together. Mating takes place in the late winter and they give birth to 2 to 4 kittens once a year. The young stay with the mother for one more winter; and then, the young adults can live on their own. Lynx will have their dens in crevices or under ledges. They feed on a wide range of animals from Reindeer, Roe Deer, small Red Deer, and Chamois, to smaller, more usual prey: birds, and small mammals, like snowshoe hares, fish, sheep, and goats. The hunting of lynxes is illegal in many countries. The Iberian Lynx is critically endangered with extinction and the killing of any individuals has been outlawed since the 1970s in Spain and Portugal In 2000, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service designated the Canadian Lynx a Threatened species in the lower 48 states.

This little fella had obviously had enough modelling for one day! Mara (South American rodent) at Marwell Zoo, Hampshire, England.
Baby Robin…..... Captured at Titchwell Marsh, Nr Norfolk England UK. The UK’s favourite bird – with its bright red breast it is familar throughout the year and especially at Christmas! Males and females look identical, and young birds have no red breast and are spotted with golden brown. Robins sing nearly all year round and despite their cute appearance, they are aggressively territorial and are quick to drive away intruders. They will sing at night next to street lights. Where to see them Across the UK in woodland, hedgerows, parks and gardens. What they eat Worms, seeds, fruits and insects.
This finch was so small he looked like a fat hummingbird with slow wings, the wrong beak, funny colours… OK, so she didn’t look a lot like a hummingbird. Bite me. It’s a nightmare trying to capture these things with a telephoto lens. Auto-focus doesn’t work unless one stays out in the open for longer than 1/2 second – extremely rare. They move a lot faster than sparrows; if fact, they seem to move faster than hummingbirds from 0 to 3 mph. It’s probably because they don’t actually fly from branch to branch when they’re close. They sorta hop wildly. I’ve never seen one miss but I did see one misjudge the circumference of the ‘landing branch’. Hehe! It was too small and the bird’s feet didn’t close tightly enough to prevent (Yup!) a surprise swing backwards! If I bird could blush, that one would have become Scarlet [O’hare.] & been gone with the wind. (OK, that was a bit dumb but I’m at work and coming up with good ones here is a true challenge). Too bad this was a less colourful female finch. Their songs are the same (as far as I can tell) but the bright yellow chest feathers are absent on the fems. There are hundreds of these in Weedy Field, tho this one was shot in Grass Valley. They are in the trees and will come down to my call, getting more chatterly than some woman’s lover. (I bet you can tell I hate work so I’m punishing you, right?) and The Write It Or Weep Info / _________ / Nikon D80 DSLR / No tripod used. / Nikkor 70 – 300 lens / facing east-southeast / I don’t know. I took this photo of a young roe deer in my garden today Sunday 7th December 2008. Now I know who ate all the ivy!
My little brown bear asleep, he really does look so cuddly! OK he’s not my bear but I just rather liked him and he is quite photogenic! Tabernas, Almeria, Spain Nikon D40 55-200mm lens at 200mm. Again I can’t remember whether it was taken on Auto or A priority. Processed in PSP CS3.
