this gang of Adelie penguins gave me a great opportunity for quite a series of entertaining photographs as they zoomed busily about their icy playground. This photo has become a symbol of connection and friendship among my own personal group of nearest and dearest friends.

This is one of the main temples in Vang Vien, Laos. The temple buildings are beautifully ornate and the surrounding garden is peaceful. On this day however, a number of the monks were busy conducting repairs on the building and, the younger ones especially, were scouting in and out of the windows and up and down the ladder as part of their work. They held a group of us captivated, cameras in hand, with their cheeky expression and playful teasing. I loved the strong contrast of the orange robe against the pink building – I think the colours capture the playfulness of the atmosphere even more than the monk’s expression in this case.

Cusco, Peru’ ! / While walking in Cusco a few days ago I met this little girl, Flor, and her sister Yolanda ! I had already taken a picture of them last year ” Flor y Yolanda ” and when I showed them a copy of the photo.. they were so impressed that they asked me to take more pictures. This is just one of the many I took ! She is so confident and loves to be photographed !!! I love this picture for the way she poses here, the way she smiles, her spontaneity.. and the beautiful contrast of colors !!!

A young Ecuadorian girl is carrying her baby brother on her back. Cusco, Perú ! / Yolanda is Flor’s sister.. ! They usual dress with traditional costumes trying to make some money asking tourist to take a picture of them or selling traditional items.. !!! What I like most of them is that they are always so happy and full of life. But in this case I caught Yolanda contemplative and a bit sad too.. !!! She liked the photo though..!!!

Polar Bear mum and cubs relax on an ice floe. / / The sea ice is shrinking at an alarming rate, which has a huge impact for the bears as this is their main hunting ground. This photo is interesting, i took this accidently while inspecting my cameras lens. I realised i took a photo and liked it so i cropped it. I then worked on this all day trying different effects until i finally got something i really liked. This is the final image!

This Koala had obviously had enough traveling, so decided to stop and sit in the middle of the road to Lake Elizabeth, in the Great Otway National Park. Fortunately it is not a very busy road and It did move on eventually.
