This is our new pup Phoebe Roo ( she’s like a kangaroo) she’s an Italian greyhound, only 13 weeks now. I have a pic of my other dog Millie on here so to be fair I took one of phoebe too.She has this one ear that is always sticking up. She is so fast now we cant even catch her, she sure is stirring up the house, we just love her to pieces !!

/ Baby & Kids TShirts in this design available at my Zazzle store / / / / Watch Over Me Angel / is a new design from my brown paper creations! We all need and hope for an angel to be watching over us, and this angel is especially for Christmas and the little one’s nursery. This one is so dear to my heart, and also especially designed for Christmas and the Calendars R Us Group Challenge for the next Christmas Calendar. I have been thinking about doing an angel for a long time, and finally this gave me the impetus to get moving on it. The brown paper is from a large roll of kraft, slathered with white gesso (acrylic paint) and handdrawn in pencil, then black felt pen…then coloured with colour pencil, chalk pastel, charcoal, and blended well….. later on, the design has been cut out in photoshop and a few extras applied to finish off…. A tshirt is available in this design also, and a children’s tee will soon be available through zazzle.

/ ’’Asian Series’ card by Karin Taylor This is one of my favourite pieces in the oriental series. / Two little friends falling asleep in their little boats whilst fishing for their supper. / I really enjoyed mixing the colours for this painting, I used colour swatches from paint charts to decide on the colour scheme, and just went to work intuitively mixing til I got the right colours…they are grungier than my other pics and I love the effect…hope you like them too :D

I liked this image of my little girl as, to me it’s a simple and dreamy capture of childhood where it’s always happy, uncomplicated with bright colours, fluffy white clouds and sparkly light.

Peas in a Pod is from a mixed media production on canvas textured paper….from the Beach Series and Friends Series by Karin Taylor If you look closely into the waves in the background, you might see dolphins…in the foreground is a little bird ducking for fish for his dinner…..hope you like this one! This is another that i uploaded earlier, but it was only available as a card, now it is available as a print also

Oil Pastel and Acrylic on old wood with slight digital enhancements Ophelia, puzzled by the radical transformation that had taken place overnight to this butterfly friend of hers, thought to herself, “She was in a white thread-like casing yesterday, how did all that happen so fast? There must be something magical about that case!” This is inspired by a book Hope For The Flowers by Trina Paulus. This is a cute and yet thought provoking story about two caterpillars who because they mistake the meaning of their urge to get high, get entangled climbing a horrible “caterpillar pillar”. And for two caterpillars, we all know, surrendering to the cocoon is the only way to finally fly. Hope For the Flowers is a book that celebrates HOPE. My fave lines from the book is “How does one become a butterfly?” She asked pensively. “You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar.” We are all meant to be as beautiful and free like the butterflies, that’s our destiny…as we free ourselves to be who we really are…and together with our innate talents,we bring hope to the world around us, bringing change inevitably around us :D / You can view and buy my other “Metamorphosis” creations from my Zazzle Gallery:
