this gang of Adelie penguins gave me a great opportunity for quite a series of entertaining photographs as they zoomed busily about their icy playground. This photo has become a symbol of connection and friendship among my own personal group of nearest and dearest friends.

I originally intended this shot to be a picture of my son holding onto these balloons and taking off, floating into up into the sky … a fantasy, sotybook sort of image. However, my daughter immediately grabbed these balloons from him and started running off. So, as it turned out this eded up having a more realistic look than the one I originally intended, but I thought it turned out pretty cute with the desaturated colors throughout, except for the colorful balloons. Sold 2 laminated prints to RB Members.

Cusco, Peru’ ! / While walking in Cusco a few days ago I met this little girl, Flor, and her sister Yolanda ! I had already taken a picture of them last year ” Flor y Yolanda ” and when I showed them a copy of the photo.. they were so impressed that they asked me to take more pictures. This is just one of the many I took ! She is so confident and loves to be photographed !!! I love this picture for the way she poses here, the way she smiles, her spontaneity.. and the beautiful contrast of colors !!!

Polar Bear mum and cubs relax on an ice floe. / / The sea ice is shrinking at an alarming rate, which has a huge impact for the bears as this is their main hunting ground. These cubs were about 7 months old and very playful, but not just now! We were very lucky with our bear sightings and I was able to get some good close-up shots. As is. He was so interested in his paw that he let me get close…...my Sweetie!! Cats are cats not dogs or very furry people. They’re true to themselves and their world view. I respect and love them for this surety of purpose, even though their “catness” confounds and frustrates me sometimes. Gus, our resident feline, now 5 years old, only beats her up occasionally…instead of daily! Given a bit more time I think they will become the best of friends. This is a Mini Horse Stallion, he is a Palomino (very light) with pinto markings and appaloosa markings, the way the morning sun was laying on him you can barely see the appaloosa markings on the hip. This stallion is part of a large herd located in rural Southern Oregon.
