=) Taken in Vero Beach, FL. My parents have been married for 22 1/2 years…. they have known each other since the 5th grade in Texas when both were the shortest in their classes (at different schools). My mom was a cheerleader and my dad was a football player. One of my mom’s friends said that she wanted her to meet my dad because "he was short like her." =) That was the beginning of the story! The friend even wrote a letter telling my mom she would marry him! (She kept that letter too!) Now, 22 years later, my mom is still short (4’11) and my dad is not (6’). My dad jokes with me because I am 5’5 and taller than my mom (obviously) and my older sister (5’2). When we go out places, people say they don’t know which girl is his wife because my mom looks so young! =) I always love when they hold hands because my mom holds onto his pinky so their "hands won’t get sweaty." Cute, huh? =)
