Made this in tribute to my favourite Facebook group – how postmodern can you get? (And yes, there’s a sneaky © next to the Disney typeface.)
Yes I know what you’re all thinking…It’s ANOTHER PET DOG!!!!! Don’t panic you arty farty types…it’s only up for a limited time whilst I make some cards for a friends present. Then it will be strictly back to black polo necks and matching berets. Ciao baby. Postscript (Wow I literally just uplaoded this to make cards for a friends birthday. I had no idea people would comment on it! I feel compelled to point out – as those who know me understand – my humour is very dry and ironic. Don’t take anything I say seriously! Except for my Africa pics and this word – thanks…) :) I MIGHT ADD IF ANYONE WANTS TO BUY IT-GO ON, ON YA, YEAH NOW AND THAT!!!!!!!!!!!! COLLECT THE SET!!
Bad weather today – not good for infrared so I found these cute piggies instead. / / / / / This Little Piggy…. / / / / and Smart Pig / / / /
Here’s another photo of my little muse. This wasn’t a posed one, just natural, the way I like it. I also have this photo in sepia which looks nice so choosing was a hard decision.

/ “Now available as a LARGE print” Sales of this Design? – 3 sales so far :) / / Girl on Red Wall is from the ‘Asia Series’ of cards by Karin Taylor Girl on Red Wall is a mixed media production on canvas textured paper utilising ink, pastel, charcoal and acrylic in the rendering. It was a fun piece that has been popular, the original has already been sold to a doctor in Queensland, and prints requested overseas. It’s funny, the paintings you don’t think will be popular, are the ones that receive the most interest sometimes. I have grown to love Girl on Red Wall very much, and would now like to share her with you
This girl keeps the sun in her hands so that it never falls on the ground. Her long blue hair hosts small clouds and birds. She enjoys watching children play :) Her name is Day…

This vector portrait of a green eyed beauty is already a half year old but I managed to post it only now:) Hope you like it!
I created this when I was designing my website. It held it’s place as my splash page for a while, but I decided to take it down considering the fact that I like it as a finished graphic. The girl reminds me of my sisters. Thank you for all of your support~ Image and concept created by Sara Wilson © All rights reserved. / www.fly-k.net

/ / A little bit of nostalgia running through this drawing, with the good old love beads, i always love wearing love beads, and I still have some which are orange and lime … and another strand of blue and white. You can wear them so many different ways. The image was drawn in pencil on cartridge paper in my A3 spiral bound art journal and after photographing I coloured her digitally on the computer. Before I took the photo I actually painted her ‘love beads’ with acrylics and inks…and i stuck a fimo flower on her beads, which i made for another application, and then painted it naples yellow with a white centre.
Summer Breeze a beautiful poem by the same title by a dear friend of mine Anne Van Alkemade / Inspired by the song Summer Breeze / by Seals and Croft Also inspired by myself and my experience of having bugs and insects come to try and take up residence in my ears… scrabbling around in there, getting all comfy…while I’m going crazy…click beetles, houseflies and spiders so far have all tried this… lol This is a girl who has an affinity with nature, and as the summer breezes begin to blow here in Australia…....the animals are drawn to live in her hair thinking that it must be branches of a tree… yes, my hair’s that dry… :) I thought it a fitting one for summer, hope you like her… Pencil drawing took me about 3 hours / Digital colouring – 10 hours / Total time 13 hours

/ / Little Cleopatra is a drawing .. I’ve used a few different pencils, lead and coloured, as well as charcoal, and some coloured marker pens, along with black marker pen and black ink to colour in the large hair area. I’ve also coloured much of this digitally.
/ This is a pencil drawing, that I’ve coloured in digitally, I also have a little golden chinese chop for my signature which was created for me a few months ago by Keith Richardson / hope you like “January” a little bit of a vintage or 70’s feel, revisiting the past, downloading a little bit of summer … now listening to “Pilot” singing January and Magic one of my fave band from the seventies, yeah, right along with the Bay City Rollers n stuff like that…hopeless huh :) so while I’m at it…. Bay City Rollers (I only want to be with you)
Media pencil drawing coloured digitally, background created fro the original sepia drawing to resemble cork a little legend who wears peacock feathers in her hair…i wonder what her story is…i bet it’s fascinating….perhaps there’s a little bit of you and a little bit of me in her….i’d like to think so. art as therapy….definitely, this piece was therapeutic…... i was lost in 3 hours of whimsy when i created this between 11pm and 2am this morning…. it so pleased me to use peacock feathers, we have had a vase of them in mum’s house from as long back as i can remember…and below you will see a little picture of my mum when she was a little girl posing for a photo with her peacock feather fan…i have always loved this picture of my mum. From what I understand she is on her way to a dance, all dressed up in kimono as a dear little geisha… a red haired one with curls to die for…mum i hope you like this….dedicated to you with love … xxx So you see, that kimonos, peacock feathers and the love of beautiful adornments have been intriguing me my whole life, my mum is so creative and sews beautifully, and used to make a dresses for herself and me, she would be sure to purchase extra fabric to make me a little dress in a different style to hers, to bond us closer as mother and daughter…what a lovely thought / / My mum Sal with her peacock feather fan dressed up in kimono
